I used to live there for a year! I was in Seoul and I loveddd it. Like you said it's supperr safe. Im a young female and i could walk around at 4am and I would still see people having a good time outside and i never felt in danger walking alone like I do in America

I love walking in Seoul and entering a random restaurant in a random neighborhood and having awesome meals. The best pizza and kimbap I’ve ever had were at these random places in Seoul.

My son and I have been quarantining, with Covid numbers going back up in our state (Ohio). A lot of fast food pick up and getting burnt out on our staple home cooked meals. Watching these vids lets me live a little vicariously thru Mike!
Also, a new Japanese place has opened up near us, and they have Tonkatsu on their menu, so now I'm excited to try it!
Lol I was cooking at home at the beginning of the lockdown but after about 3 months...I had to start getting take out... Couldn't take anymore of my cooking.... Puhahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

One of my favourite places in seoul is "Insadong garlic bossam" or "인사동마늘보쌈" I had it once 2 years ago and it stayed with me until today, I seriously think of it at least once a week. It was that good. Their pajeon, the white kimchi, bossam, and that garlic sauce together are just magic in your mouth.
Hiiiighly recommend it.

Hi - I live in Vancouver, Canada where Vessi the company started. I own a pair and can say that they're great. One thing to watch out though, after 1 year there's a chance that it can start to leak but just contact customer service and they'll send you another pair. Hope this helps

I've eaten a lot, and I mean a LOT of tonkatsu in my life. And I have NEVER seen both that style of preparation and serving, nor katsu that juicy. It looks insane and I gotta try it at some point in my life.

That area youre staying in is actually really popular. Lots of young adults go there because its connected to the club area just a subway exit over. When I stayed there, I got 떡볶이 and 어묵 at the stand on the corner. All the food places in the area are amazing!

The Korean katsu game is actually pretty strong nowadays I’m so glad Mikey got to try it! Try the deungshim katsu next time, you get a portion of fat at the end which gives extra flavor.

Due to the travel ban, I've been living vicariously through your videos, Mikey. I'm in the Philippines and tourist visas going to S. Korea are cancelled at the moment. Korea is like my second home and I used to stay in Hongdae quite often. I love getting glimpses of the streets and different spots in the Hongdae/Hapjeong/Sinchon areas while you walk around. I totally jumped in excitement when you went to Quiche Mignon!! I've hung out there once or twice. :)
By the way, in case you decide to visit the Philippines again, I'd be more than happy to show you more of the insane dishes that we have out here! Please try to extend your stay in Korea...for my sake...uhm, and yours too! MABUHAY! And keep eating...fighting!!
