Preston Garvey's quests never end.
Once you get the 20 or so new settlements he'll send you to (there are 30 in the base game but some are not on his list) and even after you have EVERY possible settlement, he'll generate some random "they guys at this settlement we own need your help" quests forever.
If you really get tired of him, move him to some other location you never visit and forget about him.
You'll have one quest in your log forever, but at least you won't hear him nagging you.
Alternatively, look at these as opportunities to get bunches of XP.

Cook the meat before you sell it. Not only do you get some experience, but the meat sells for a little more. That Synth you found wanting to go to Bunker Hill is a rare encounter. In 15 playthroughs I have only seen it one time. VATS is good for when you get surrounded by a horde. It lets you freeze time a bit and select you targets. The closer you are and the longer the range and accuracy the better the chance of hitting. VATS builds can be pretty powerful. With certain perks you can store up critical hits and use them when you want too. Mostly I ignore VATS though. This last playthrough I got a combat shotgun that slows time for a few seconds every time you aim down the sights. I have never seen this in almost 4000 hours. It is mighty.
There is a diner south west of Sanctuary that has a legendary sword for sale that is really powerful early game for melee builds. If you get the Jamaica Plains in the south east there is a cool bat with crazy knockback. You can also get a flaming sword from the Iron Works in the east. A Ripper is pretty good too, especially if you find a legendary one with stun or bleed. There are perks that make your companions better. You can also get the armorer perk and put pocketed on armor pieces to increase carry capacity and make them wear it. I do not think you can mod the dog armor.
You need to mod your armor or weapons. Gun nut, armorer, and blacksmith can improve your weapons and armor greatly. They can also improve power armor. Stealth in this game kind of suck and it is too dark for me to run without the Pip Boy light.
Did you know that your Pip Boy light does not cause enemies to see you?
You can use the light AND stealth at the same time.

Happens to me all the time because E is the loot button and the drink button.
To avoid that, if you want to loot any body or container in any water, just click R then R again - you aren't clicking E so it cannot accidentally drink.

You can do BoS quests and join them etc up until a point of no return which is signalled in game and gives you a fair bit of their quests and stuff. Can still join Railroad and Minutemen as well and make the decision later

There are 30 - 31 settlements in the main game, four more in FarHarbor and one in NukaWorld.
Also, Preston will stop giving you settlement quests once you have three of his quests active. There is a way to not deal with him giving you more quests. Report back to the Settler only! Do not follow up with Preston. The quests will auto-complete after several days after you talk to the settler…note that itmay take a couple game weeks but it will pop up as finished. If you want more quests for the Minutemen, listen to the radio after you secure the Castle. Stay away from Preston though.

1:03:10 the most danger in this place is the outside, its actually very fortified, i love to storm this place make sure to leave one alive so they respawan,cos if you do enough early on they all go to the roof and its like warfare but your the lone survivor and have to hold off and pick your shots, i come from the ramp, down the bottom you can pick off all the ones in scaffolds to the left,then crouch up pick your shots to the right and forwards,then move up the scaffolds to the left,face the building/factory, to the left there is a bunch,find a beam then aim down take them out,then kill the staglers then sit in the tunnel connecting the building to the scaffolding, and have a war, if done within 5 minutes or less all inside will be on the roof, its nuts missiles automatic rifes ect like actually a cool thing to do,if on the grind, makes it fun not boring

The next gen update will or might break your mods even the unofficial patch that you installed. However, you might get lucky and nothing changes. The next-gen update will fix some lags in areas such as downtown boston. But it more for consoles than high-end pcs like yours. So you are correct that it minimal changes for PC. Loving the series, Keep it up.

Nope.
In fact, the way this game treats Fusion Cores makes no sense - you can pull them out of everything and it all still works.
Pulling out Fusion Cores does not make any power go off.
It should, but it doesn't.
My theory is that those are big generators that power the buildings and they have a hole so you can "plug in" a Fusion Core to recharge it - if you take a Fusion Core out of these charger plugs it will always be 100% charged and the building still has power.
That's not quite true - you can't recharge used Fusion Cores this way, but I pretend you can, because at least this explains why everything stays on.

I went hardcore into VATS for my playthrough 'cause I was on PS4 and couldn't aim for shit with a controller. It's literal cheat mode when you've got everything VATS related maxxed out.

What’s the point of waiting not much is changing for high end PCs and there adding missions that you would want some time in the game anyways to play. The update really is for console won’t effect players like me much if at all.
@@BrianMenard I re-downloaded it again today for the 10th time but decided to wait. I didn't know it was coming out so soon. The London expansion is pushed back indefinitely.
On the password hacking you just have to find the words that have similar likeness all the other symbols are useless
And for carry weight you gotta upgrade and have Ada she is a tank for storage, but be careful she steals well your junk items, may of been a bug but she took all my cans and all my bulbs my important stuff and eveytime i took it back she instantly stole it all again 😂 fuxking robots
You have to spec for VATS to be effective early game, endgame you won't use it much as you have better gear and weapons 😉 😊
When you see those hanging can noise makers, disassemble for exp and cans to break down for crafting 2 for 1 win win
Scrapping guns only at weapon bench, armour at armour bench, trash from storage has to be dropped and than broken down from building bench menu

At 23:58 you used 24 rounds of ammo to destroy a turret that only needed about 6 hits.
Pop VATS, at that range, probably a 60% chance, 10 shots = 6 hits.
VATS would likely be 6 out of 10 while you were 6 out of 24.
I'm not sure VATS is as bad as you think.
It's confirmation bias. You see VATS miss and you remember that VATS misses. Then next time you say "I knew it would miss!" confirming your own bias.
But VATS also hits. We tend to forget that because only the misses piss us off.
Not to be a Debbie Downer I really hate people talking about the TV series especially when I haven't even seen it nor do I have the ability to see it at the moment because of my financial situation very depressing I had to hear it but thank you this was an awesome game love in the game play I'm still watching
For all this that fallout is better no this one is, kinda annoys me like from someone who has played all fallouts but for fallout 1 not that old 😅, like who cares they are all fuxking amazing in there own way, like 3 was awesome kinda focused on the wacky realistic stuff, what i mean is it was funny and wacky but wastland was realistic like one mistake lol, 4 was actually cool like pretty much build anywhere and if played right bloody awesome game and with right console or pc even better, and the online one kinda not my thing,was cool but then yeah as all games online it becomes un-enjoyable the latter ruins it for the rest,that select few who just destroy everything ya know,oh and 2 yup definitely worth it lol its played a certain way to be legit but the way you can deviate is fuxking amazing 😂😅
