Winner of Czech presidential election, Pavel, thanks supporters

- Czech presidential candidate Petr Pavel took the stage at his campaign headquarters to thank supporters on Saturday after results showed he held an unbeatable lead over billionaire businessman and former prime minister Andrej Babis.
Pavel, a 61-year-old retired general running for office for the first time, had campaigned as an independent and gained the backing of the centre-right government which ousted Babis from power in a 2021 parliamentary election.
Meanwhile, Andrej Babis accepted defeat and congratulated Pavel on his victory in a speech to supporters after nearly all votes in the election had been counted.

@@JohanKriitik Ehmm. Whut?? Pavel is the former Chair of the NATO Military Committee and very much pro-NATO, pro-EU and pro-Ukraine support. The other candidate (billionaire Andrej Babiš) said in an interview that he would not send any troops anywhere ..which cause a huge uproar and he backtracked saying that "of course" he would send troops.

Give it more time, my friend... Brazil has great future ahead of itself, I am 100% sure of that. Brazil is deeply divided due to its history (junta regime 1964-85). In this regard, our countries are similar. 40 years of communist regime have deeply divided our nation and this is still true today. My parents are communists, I am liberal. We do not argue that much fortunately.
It may take 10 years, it may take 20 years but sooner or later Brazil will shine brightly... I can only hope the same will be true about Czech republic (or possible future Czechoslovakia?). The hardest things to beat are always corruption and poverty.

Yes I must say as proud Czech, that I am incredibly happy, that We also finally have a president, Who was in past trained to be USSR inteligence, just like Russian president Putin. Finally we are returning to our communist roots. 🤣🤣 And best part is, somehow after fall of communism, President Pavel just became part of NATO with no repercussions. 🤣🤣

Pak pán Babiš lže v jedné věci nehorázně že nejsme v potencionální válce tím že když by byl prezident tak by stejnak podepsal mobilizaci kterou by dostal od vlády a od lidí z armády jinak by porušil hlavně naší ústavu a spojenectví členských států a stal by se Vlastizradcem a zase by byla ostuda! No neobjektivita je jen to jak se Babiš staral o lidi v Covidu kdo rozdělil společnost v tom to státě a jeho ministři zdravotnictví a financí tomu dali tečku!
