Bruce Phelps leads the combined choirs of the Northern Lights Chorale and the Minnesota Mormon Chorale in O Sifuni Mungu. Erin Gray is the Artistic Director of the Minnesota Mormon Chorale.
I was a young impressionable public school choir director that had the privilege of hearing the Anoka High School Choir under the direction of Bruce Phelps in the 1980's on more than one occasion. It inspired me to know what young voices were capable of . I bought his sight singing series even though 90% of it was harder than any of my groups could ever negotiate. I never personally met Bruce, or spoke a word with him, but his high school groups inspired me more than anything I learned in college. And I had a great college choir/music education experience. I spent over 30 years in the business and hope that I passed a little of that inspiration on to all of my students. Bravo Mr. Phelps and the Northern Lights Chorale and Minnesota Mormon Chorale!
