Highschool memory unlocked: I have seen these guys play live near me in the Seattle area when I was 17. I forget where but holy shit I viscerally remember flinging myself around in the pit to Cancer.

This record was as close as it got to their live set from that period. So much sound from two earthlings. Very, very kind. I hope they are happy. I wish them joy.

I think the band they were in tour with was from Italy. No photos from that night. I can’t recall the lineup. Maybe Helms? And Waifle? No!…. Acts of Sedi… no wait IWKYF… no, but they were both there… damn… I’ll have to ask Groundswell…. Or Cole….

(This record is so well built) so intensely intentional. Relentlessly unrelenting.
“Cold. Ruthless. Raw. Lifeless.” So pretty.
Seeing them live was a strange combination of luck and intention.
What make sense to me would/shouldn’t/ might/ can’t make sense to others… yet… I wasn’t alone… was I?
Trust your instincts. They may not be popular, but they are yours. Trust little else. Disappointment comes to those who put faith into outside opinions.
