Crazy story. Bro must have been on a rollercoaster of emotions.
watch europa the last battle
The fact this was based on a true story wow this guy is a real friend lol
Based on a true story doesn't mean a thing.
@@HankBukowski Maybe do a bit of research lil bro. John Chickie Donohue.
@@Syv_ Pfft. 🤣🤣🤣
a Friend who made his friend list in and made him die lol
This guy is the all time bro of bro's he ran into no mans land with a duffel of beer that is heavy and would slow you down but he made it beer in tow . Gotta love that guy
Right. But bro literally went to Vietnam just to bring beer, to a place where he could die. Several ways. And he did it.
@@vanityofthesaint
You do know this is bullshit.
what a fukn legend , imagine having a friend like this guy ; this is the kind of friend that you should aspire to be
He went from Vietnam to Harvard. Amazing guy! He travel a life most people would take a whole life time to experience.
No entendí
Also from Harvard to working construction lol
Am I the only one who is bothered by the fact this man can run with hundreds of pounds of beer in a duffel bag, without ripping or falling 😅
They dont make duffle bags like they used to
He put like two cases in, that isn't hundreds of pounds lol...
The recap makes the movie sound more serious than it really is
That's because it is serious and in a recap you simply miss much of the humour used to tell what is nevertheless a serious story.
The last folks getting a beer ain't gunna be fizzy no more
Why not? It's in an air-tight can. Where do you think the CO2 is going to disappear to?
@@IturaldeRodel it's going to burst out the can with some contents when first opened, have you never opened a shook up can before.

Chikki looks the same age as his father
So they're in NY but everybody sounds like they're from Boston?
I'd assume it's so because of the time period. Even in old media, New Yorkers don't quite sound like they do now
From those of us in the wide open west, aren’t Boston and NYC in the same neighborhood?
Movie name: The Greatest Beer Run Ever (2022)
Thanks!
Bill Murray as the bartender lol. Wow, and Russell Crowe!
Bro got the legendary dad lore
Well...that's a way better story than I ever thought it would be. Hold my beer while I go rethink my life's decisions for a while. Thanks. O0O
I skipped this movie thinking it wasn't gonna address the government lies about the Vietnam. Guess I'll have to watch it now.
That mustache is glorious though, I'm jealous.
Made after True Story !!!

How many beers did Chicky bring with him? 😂
Absolutely beautiful story. Riveting performances. Even the narrator seems an integral part of the film. Well done
Thank you very much!
I hope more people become aware of movies like this that show how governments use military personnel as human expendables war after war after war..........

Zac Efron: I know Gun, I was in the military.
Officer: Where'd you serve?
Zac Efron: Massachusetts.
Officer: Yeah give me that (*taking the gun from zac*)
Wikipedia has an entry on this movie, “The Greatest Beer Run Ever,” and the true story on which it was based, with some links to more detailed accounts. The CBS account has this quote from the movie’s director, Peter Farrelly:
*
"A guy who brought beer to his friends in Vietnam? I just immediately thought that's a movie," said Farrelly.
CBS News national security correspondent David Martin asked, "What was it about that story that connected with you?"
"It was the sheer, you know, hubris, the stupidity to even attempt it," Farrelly replied. "But then, to actually go through, to pull it off? I love that guy!"
*
"Hubris" is a good word for Chickie Donohue and his journey. It was a particularly American kind of hubris, in keeping with the blindly optimistic "can do!" attitude that got the USA involved in Vietnam's civil war. And Iraq's civil war, and Afghanistan's....
That beer would be beyond skunked lol
Bro running with the bag just irritated me more and more I saw it after he left his friends. Like bro it’s beer , let it go 😂

What's the movie name please
What film is this?
The bartender looks like Bill Murray?
I can’t believe this is a real story .. this is a bro of bros ..
The really amazing part was how the bag apparently magically refilled itself everywhere he went...
Not really. Details like that could be assumed to happen off-camera (refilling) for movies. If you read through the real life story, all the beer he restocked from back home gets finished by Chick before even getting in Vietnam (took him 2 months to get there). He would restock at every harbor or stop point so all beers that that arrived to his pals were local to Vietnam.
The inconsistency in the film isn't really a major flaw as it showed him delivering beers from back home. Again, just an adaptation.
@@UABlTCH42069 it was a joke dude, lighten up…

THAT SHIT WAS REAL!?
AI voice videos are so weird, but so widely accepted now. They seem impoersonal to me. This movie would feel weird if Zac Efron's dialogue was AI, but I guarantee in ten years it'll be the case because channels like this make people immune to how inhuman it is.
To be fair, 10 years from now, AI voiced videos will be way better and human like . So, unsurprising as the tech gets better
This is basic cheap text to speech that people use. Especially if they have accents or dont have good mics.
Dude I really dont think multi-million dollar movies, are gonna cheap out and use AI. Especially when they dont have to.
@@honkhonk8009 Yeah I guess I screwed up here and classically did the Boomer thing of calling everything AI when I meant voice to text/AI in the sense of artificial voice and adaptation of a natural voice. I tried putting a few similar sentences through Windows 11 VTT and this just sounds like it's trying to be a little more.... human. Depending on circumstance I wouldn't feel comfortable making a video and having a computerized voice narrate it for me.
@@Theeosees yea makes sense. For a school project awhile ago, I used text to speech cus we had shitty mics lmfao.
Also used some AI voices back in 2021 to have Reagan voice over some other project lol.
Its all fun and games. AI prolly only gonna be used if they cant get the original voice actors or actors for stuff. But in most cases, its gonna be no different to photoshop lol
@@honkhonk8009 Yeah it's of little concern, though programs are more accessible for people that don't value people's work/property and that's a little troublesome. The "AI art" we see often is taking multiple images and editing them together, but at some point a human hand drew something. People say it's just a "fun tool" like music samples but in, say, GarageBand all those samples are carefully licensed to their original creators.
12:10. Yeah nah fk that
Hold the f*k up! this is inspired by an actual historical event?!
Yeap
OHA CARLOS ARROYO
I can tell you that this story only exists in a writers mind. There are many things white people can get away with, even in the US Army. However, by seeing the places this guy went to even though not impossible, the enemy would have taken him prisoner. The truth is where this guy was supposed to travel was a soft spot in Nam,for reality purposes, the mountains were unforegiven, and that was where death always had its way.
Dead bodies were the attention of the moment, and your mind played it over and over again until you accepted death and gave up your spirit to it. It is better to think of yourself as death until the end of your tour and if by some miracle you made it. The next step was to get the hell out of there. 21:59
Bill murray is right, we can't handle and we shouldn't have to. But he's also wrong. Sometimes we have to do shit we don't think ourselves capable of.
I think we need to know what it takes, the hell our boys go through. Everyone is so desensitized to it now anyway. And we're becoming even more desensitized to it.
why does this movie looks like it's ai generated
