Basic RPG logic. Man brutally slaughters ten thousand mithril enchanted armour clad legendary flame emperor dragons. Single bandit charges him with a dagger.
Not even a decent dagger, probably a bronze dagger with a wooden handle that can't even cut through paper lol.

Bandit: Whoa, it's that hero who killed literal demon gods, wielding weapons capable of razing an entire city in one swing and armor that can withstand the impact of a meteor...i bet me and my dull iron knife and half-torn leather jerkin can totally reign superio- *gets 1-shotted by a passive damage aura*

Also basic RPG logic. After such feat you described, man goes talk to a an NPC for a quest, and the NPC says: "Hum... You need to improve your skills..."

Can someone explain me that. I didn't get it
Chirag Kalra the thought is that the quest giver and person who he returns to (greg) is also an NPC that accompanies you on the mission. Since its an online game he doesn’t actually leave though. He duplicates so he can go on the quest but still stay in place for when the quest is done and for other people to talk to him. Once the quest is done the duplicate disappears since he is no longer needed. The original greg knows that the duplicates just keep spawning and dying all the time so he is trying to keep the duplicate positive while he dies. He has to watch as a perfect copy of him with all the same feelings and memories just disappears.
I'd have laughed if he'd disappeared like a Thanos Snap.

I did wish it was long though, or a whole series. It would be nice to explore their other NPC characters in a dedicated short-film.

In old computer games they sometimes had such an NPC walking around, like a disguised guard.
Whenever a guest started ripping up the place, killing other guests etc., the undercover guard would crush him.
He's a lvl 20 Monk, retired adventurer. He has a modified oath of silence. He can only say that 1 line.
He just wants to spend his retired days fishing, but people keep making fun of him

Completely agreed. The one with a tad more common sense has noticed something off about the world, only to be stopped 100% of the time with the "What are we? And What do we do?!"
I feel like Baelin wants to have deep, meaningful conversations about how it's a nice day for fishing, where he's going to fish, what bait he uses, where the best fishing spots are, and why he's going fishing today, but the developers simply did not give him the lines he needs to express himself. :( Poor guy.

Lol no, it's deeper than that... The Fisherman is actually very conscious of everything, but he is doing like he is a normal npc... He is the sole survivor of wipe out of all conscientious npc from alpha version, so he is just saving his ass. You can notice that the second mugger is on the way of consciousness and the farmer is already conscious but still asking why everything is like that, who he is really, what does npc mean.

i wish this was a real rpg cause just the story alone sounds amazing just imagine being the watcher and taking on a hydra or an army of a thousand orks. and then constantly getting challenged by two muggers.
Well... There's an Rpg that comes to mind that's similar in some situations. Very underrated, pretty great combat system.

@@slevinchannel7589 I think the most popular theory is that the more quests an NPC can give, the more coding they need, and this makes them smarter. Greg and Baradun used to be the only self aware.
But other times, it's just about being funny

Holy shit, I'm barely into it but the "you focus on that.." scene - amazing. Think about the never ending hell that the NPC has to live while sadly watching and trying to comfort endlessly copies of himself disappear from existence. Fucking deep. lol. I'm not gonna lie, that was a bit of a "wow" moment for me.
And the music adds even more to it.

Yeah and the developers specifically give you stupid new expansion armor that usually doesn't match or harmonize at all. It just looks like all different gear and mismatched.
