You can crochet this simply beautiful crochet cardigan for baby boys and girls smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and making it in the exact same way as this tutorial (see below) with same stitch count and number of rows. Just remember that these sizes are not exact since not all babies are the same size and since tension varies from person to person which can affect the final size. SIZES:
Preemie use a 2mm hook with #3, DK or 8 ply yarn
NB use a 2.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8 ply yarn
0-3M use a 3mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
3-6M use a 3.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
6-9M use a 4mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
9-12M use a 4.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
12-24M use a 5mm hook with #4, Aran or 10 ply yarn
3-4Yrs use a 5.5mm hook with #4, Aran or 10 ply yarn
Materials used:
*Cardigan= 140g total (110g blue and 30g white) of DK yarn for 0-3m size ( I used Cygnet Kiddies Supersoft DK yarn). You can also use any yarn with similar weight like #3 or 8ply
*Approx. Gauge: 2in = 11 rows / 10.5 sts of SC
*Approx. Gauge: 2in = 12 rows / 12 sts of crunch stitch

I have always loved this stitch! It's so beautiful! Also I've been wondering for a long time about if you crochet all day every day? You sell what you make right? And do you hands ever hurt for awhile after making something?
Hi! I don’t crochet all day but wish I could 😅Most tutorials were completed a month or two ago to give me plenty of time to work on the next project/tutorial. I keep some of the things I make but do occasionally sell some and donate some as well. As far as my hands hurting, I can happily say no they do not. Not sure if the turmeric supplements I take for other things have helped with this 🤷♀️

Go on google and search crochet cardigan measurements. If you’re using a smaller hook then just make it all exactly in the same way as this.

I think the stitch count might be slightly off…if you start with 50 in row 1 and increase by 8 every row then how do you end up with 54 by the end of row two? Shouldn’t it be 58 by the end of row two?
