I like how he respects the other pullers on the left and doesnt give them the hammer like they deserve. Denis is not the number 1 left hand...If he doesnt defend it he should just give it to someone. It was Devons hammer he wanted to make something great for sport of armwrestling and started the legacy hammer now Denis just keep to him like is his trophy, how arrogant is that? I think Devon is very sad to give it to someone like Denis that wants to have the hammer without being the best left hand armwrestler. For me Denis just likes himself, he doesnt evenm do nothing to promote armwretsling, if armwretsling is what it is now is thanks to John, Neil, Engin and Devon Larrat... well even Pradeep or what its called does more for armwrestling then Denis!!! 😃😃😃

Denis has never really been a trash talker. I've never seen him say anything negative about anyone in the sport on any of his videos. He seems like a very kind and humble beast of a man. I have always respected his and John Brzenk's attitudes in the sport. Denis is a legend.
He called Devon a clown recently, but there may be different interpretations/translations to it.

Ну Арм Олимп это канал Бабкена, а этот канал Луценко только для английской аудитории. А Андрюха столько опыта набрался, что ему надо уже фильмы снимать. Очень он кинематографично снимает, пря загляденье. Если бы Денис с Андрюхой поехал бы во Владивосток и Казахстан, то с тамошней живописной природой Андрюха бы классно поснимал, раз уж у Смаева такие кадры крутые делал.

Мир армрестлинга должен Девону за то, что он сделал со спортом. Именно Девон сделал этот спорт настолько популярным. И достаточно большая причина, почему Девону удалось сделать спорт более популярным - это делать матчи очень развлекательными за счет треш толка(trash talk) оппонентов до матчей, а также во время матчей.
Девон - это Шварценеггер амррестлинга. Шварц сделал бодибилдинг популярным в 60-х и 70-х. До Шварца это считалось занятием изгоев, бандюков и всяких байкеров на кокaине. Также и Девон - до Девона это было чем-то очень специфическим, странным и далеким. Теперь почти каждый, кто на Ютубе, знает и видел матчи армрестлинга с Девоном и даже другими армрестлерами. Это, кстати, признанный факт в мире армрестлинга, что именно Девон сильно популяризировал спорт среди обычных людей, что хорошо для спорта, и что позволило спорту получить больше денег. Откуда я это беру? Из уст многих людей, которые разговаривают про Девона в видео на этом же YT(все на английском).

I’m a huge Devon fan and enjoy his antics. That being said I have always loved watching Dennis pull and the best part about Dennis is how calm he is even when in the middle of a match while he’s pulling he rarely lets out any emotion. That’s why he’s my favorite. That he’s a beast.
His one show of emotion I can remember was the joy after he finally beat John for the first time.

Он понимает, что его часики тикают и что сейчас для него последняя "белая полоса"- Леван для него недосягаем и так и так, Брзенк уже пенсионер, Денис восстанавливается и не такой "пиковый" как тогда, когда он приземлил Ларрата. Поэтому для Ларрата это звёздный час, последняя возможность о себе заявить, дальше уже этого не будет.

До матча - две недели отдыха, после матча - минимум неделя. У Ермеса был месяц между матчами. Значит он не занимался две недели до первого, затем неделю после, и затем должен был еще две недели отдыхать перед Ларатом. Получается- полтора месяца без нормальных тренировок. Он потерял уверенность не только из-за того, что Ларат забрался ему в голову, а потому что Ермес сам понимал, что он никак не наберет форму.

Guys this is not Ermes, I don't think mind games will be effective on this guy 👍 he just makes Larratt look like an immature child in this regard... I understand Larratt likes to play mindgames and it has a double purpose one is to gain more views (which is in some way very positive for the sport) and the other to get under his opponents skin, and latest example of how good mind games work is Ermes he created a perfect scenario in which he could beat Ermes he has done it with Dave Chaffee and Chaffee has admitted that it kind of works on him, but Denis has a different mindset which in my opinion is kind of intimidating cause as of mindgames he just let it very clear that mindgames won't do Devon any favours against him, another guy with an iron mindset is Levan, he didn't get affected by anything of what Devon said, same thing with some other competitors that have beaten Devon (which aren't many but usually this very few guys are the most special like John, Denis and Levan) also Devon is very strong, but Denis is determined to win this battle against Devon I think we can all see it Denis wants to win and it's not a normal desire like everybody he really really wants this but so does Devon I don't know about you guys but I'm excited for november
I'm a big Devon fan but I'm tired of the fake trash talk, even if the excuse is to "hype" a match to make more money (for everyone involved), the last Devon vs Brzenk match for example, made me feel really bad watching Devon, I think it was a total embarrasement for any fan of the sport watching. The first "famous" Devon matches on WAL for example it was the right amount and entertaining, but it seems to have goten to his head (due to geting increasing atention I guess) and every mach (except for the latest vs ermes) he gets more and more cringe with the trash talk, I honestly hope he lows it a notch or stops it altogether, I love Devon, but imo its going way too far.

Imho behaving like Devon did that day was a disgrace to the sport and all the fans, specially his, that started following the sport because of him, I know that when the match is over he takes the mic and starts talking great about his oponent, but it just looks all so fake even if he means it, one second hes being an embarrasement, and the next is licking your ass after beating you... I guess thats what fame makes to you, the same attitude is what made him lose against genadi, he had that match won and lost it for being cocky... I want "og" wal devon back, with the superman haircut, that was the best atitude, he did some trashtalk but seemed genuine, but at that time the sport was very small compared to now

I always hated trashtalks and all the fake hype before any match. It does not make a match any better. The pullers achievements make it interesting. Their styles, their current shape. Their head to head record. These things make it interesting.
Not big and often times stupid words. No Devon, you will not destroy Denis. You may beat him. "Destroy" is stupid and pathetically overdramatized. Grownup adults don't do that crap.

Devon is like the Connor Mcgregor of armwrestling. He's definitely not the best in the game, but 80% of people wouldn't know wtf armwrestling is if not for Devon. He is not only an elite level armwrestler but also a media persona. Meaning, he brings in the cash. MEANING we get to enjoy better organized events and more new challengers.
No matter what Devon accomplishes in the sport, he will never get the respect he deserves. Most people here are to stupid to see past the facade. Thank god, the opinion of idiots don't matter. What matters is that his peers think highly of him.

There's the matches that draw interest and make everyone money, then there's the matches just for the athletes, fans go kick rocks... then there's matches that never happen because the sport dies commercially because a lot of the fun comes during the build up to the matches that make the matches epic.
