I’m in awe of the skill on display here. Used to build the F1 1/20 collection years ago. This has inspired me to build this car. Although, I don’t have an airbrush, I have acrylic spray. If it turns out half as good as the build on this vid, I’ll be delighted!
McLaren has never been my cup of tea, and certainly not this one, but this kit shows, again, that Tamiya is the king of model kits.

I like all of the custom touches you put on the model: the carbon fiber, the custom paint. It will definitely stand out in a crowd. I’m still waiting for mine to arrive. I’ll do mine in blue with dark blue accents.

How visible is the engine through the window in the rear bonnet? Is it worth doing carbon on the intake and valve covers?
I can see the velvety cover. I recommend not doing more than that.
오오 따끈따끈한 신작이 나오자마자 깔끔하게 만드셨네요!! 설명서 보니까 부품분할도 기존보다 더 세밀하게 되었던데 혹시 만드시면서 어렵거나 선조립하기 애매한 부분이 있었나요??
제가 프론트 언더커버 카본을 붙이기 편하게 위아래를 접착했다가 마무리 조립할때 애먹었어요. 그부분은 분할로 진행하시고. 이제품 외장에 경우 에어홀이 많다보니 안쪽도 꼼꼼히 칠해주시고 보이지 않는 부분들 체크하시고 물린다음 도색하길 추천드립니다. 클리어 파츠의 경우 접착이 필요없이 겹겹이 부착 되기 때문에 걱정하지 않아도 됩니다. 윙도 거치대와 윙을 접착후 바디에 연결하시는게 용이합니다.

Oh, sorry~ I use Finisher's products and Tamiya products.
I’m doing some again got a airbrush kit now to help with my senna Done lots in the past with paint and rattle cans. My mclaren mp4/6 took me 3 months to finish and see to buy that kit now is £500 🤭

Very good build. What kind of semi-gloss and matt clear do you use and why? Why do you use semi gloss clear before urethane clear? Is it acrylic, enamel or laquer? Thank you.
Most of the paint I use is laquer. The reason why semi-gloss clear is used before urethane is because it wants the combination of 2k urethane and laquer to be a little better. Due to the working environment, 2k urethane may be sprayed after complete drying after laquer clear.

No, it has to be purchased separately.

How and where did you get carbon fiber material?
It's a decal. It uses brands such as Tamiya and ka-models.

It was not exclusively for McLaren, but it was made by itself. I recommend Tamiya Carbon. If you can wait a little longer, I think it would be better to wait until the exclusive car comes out.

I know it's a 1/24 parking lot set.

The S sign was drawn with a brush, and #12 was stenciled.

완전 이건 자동차가 아니고 건담을 만드는 거네 ㅋ
