Can't agree for a moment about that. The Palo album was a misstep as was Seventh Swamphony, a bit of a stumble in an unseen hole hidden by the reeds. After having listened to this band since 2002, this band started to lose me on Seventh Swamphony and then really lost me on this Palo album. Finally with the self-titled upcoming album it seems they've returned to form, however. Very glad to hear that, so they can go out with a bang and not a whimper.

Not always. Their earlier works are better, and they've had a few sub-par albums in the later years.
@@ZonZorZerx I agree, this song is quite boring. Kalmah used to always deliver, but Palo is kind of a disappointment. It's not a bad album, but I think that the guys' problem is that they are running out of fresh ideas, in other words they don't concentrate enough to developing their skills and learning about new music.
The best bands keep evolving and trying out new ideas, but still keeping their own style. Just look at Nightwish or Amorphis: they are prime examples of bands that challenge themselves constantly, and that's why they just keep getting better and better with each album. Other bands like Kalmah and COB, which both of used to be amazing, are now recycling their old ideas and their best days are way behind.

The lyrics is about fake love where the story teller felt in love with the prostitute lady lol. Here is how the music vdo related with the lyrics
0.00-0.58: A kind local lady happens to found an injured man and save him from a hunter's trap. Typical romantic story probably ends with happy ending..well no sir.. no..
0.59-3.03: The man felt in love with the local lady and looking to propose her for marriage. He isn't a rich man and could only show his devotion by trying to dress nice, picking flowers from the wild, and made a handmade necklace. Of course, after she saw what the man could offered to her she refuse.
** 1.27: Kalmah appeared in the mirror! Shit is about to go wrong lol
3:04-4:09: The man heart was broken so he went back to the place where they met and drown himself **3:41 hint: that there are many handmade necklaces hanging on the tree, this isn't the first time (Kalmah album cover tree lol)
4:10-4:30: The local lady goes back to the lake and LAY THE TRAP!! Looking to bait another man. Rich and blind mens are what she is hunting!!
