When visiting Yogyakarta, do squeeze Timang Island to be one of your to-do things while in the city.
Timang Island/Beach is about 2hrs away from Yogyakarta City.
You can hire a rental car service to get you there.
Once you’ll get to there, you’ll get to ride the most exciting ropeway Gondola in the world! Or, you can walk across to the island by foot thru a suspension bridge!
The ride on the Gondola can be intimidating with the deadly waves below you. Since 1997, the Gondola ride has been very safe, no any recorded accident and the local people have been taking great care of the ropes.
