I watched this when I was young.. early 90s in our country the Philippines...I watched all episodes ..after school when I'm home..this is one of my favorite pastime back then before playing outside..brings back memories...I really loved the concept of his futuristic ship.. also the background music..

BIG FACTS!!! they would never make a cartoon like this in today's times before anything else they would say OMG it's too violent!! It's a shame!! It's sad!! I'm so Gald I grew up back then I got to experience all of this stuff!! So much fun back then😂👏🏾
I know this show is a parody of the Odyssey poems of Troy, but can anyone tell me the relevance of the the ship being shaped like an eye? I cant recall anything to compare to that.
+monkeyboy7126 the word originally means "to express alteration" which means exactly what this series is. a scifi alteration. a para-ode. its only recently (couple hundred years) its had the humorous meaning. both are technically correct. THE MORE YOU KNOW.
The single eye was the distinguishing feature of the cyclops. By carrying the eye symbolically his ship is carrying the burden of the cyclops. Plus by having its charts wiped essentially it's flying blind which could be construed as ironic. I don't know if such symbolism was intended but it may have been.

Aldar Goa-Baden the eye was seen as a talismon of protection from evil so i guess the animators used that as the shape of the Odyssey
