THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS WHO SHOW UP FOR ALL THE EVENTS. THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE SPONSORS INVOLVED IN THE SPORT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE, DIDICATION AND COMMITMENT. I REALLY APPRCIATE IT!!!!!
SOUTHEAST GASSERS ASSOCIATION IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK!!!!! TOTALLYAWSOME INNOVATION!!!!
I LOVE MY GASSER FAMILY!!!!! GREAT RACING ACTION BY EVERYONE!!!!
Good times, thanks for the show. ... Howdy from the west coast !
Hello there! I Was going to tell you to try to make it to a race, but we sweep the southeast. SEGA is a great organization and a fantastic show for the weekend! Might be worth planning a trip!
I LOVE MY GASSER FAMILY!!!! SO MUCH FUN AND SO MUCH VARIETY!!!! VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE !!!!!
Badass car's and a shout out to the ladies dressing the part 👍👍.
The backup gals, often referred to as "bugs" and are a period correct part of the show. Here's what the SEGA association says:
DRESS ATTIRE:
All Sega Races are family events, and we need to ensure that while the BUG is an important feature of 1967 Style Drag Racing the presence of Beautiful Ladies should enhance the car, not overpower it.
Some Suggestions:
Mod/Micro Mini/ Shift Dresses and Tunic Dresses and if you opt for any of these dresses Hot Pants/Volleyball Shorts/Bloomers {Whatever else they could be called} Must be Worn Please!!! Why is this being said is because there should be a certain amount of modesty involved, such as planning for weather related situations, especially wind or the track blowers will blowup that dress quicker than you can hold it down. Also please just be aware of how short your dress is, and your butt cheeks could be seen without you even realizing it until it shows up on social media and we know 99.9 percent of you Beautiful Ladies don’t want that and we as a family organization don’t want either.
You are absolutely correct, Frank. People get stupider year-by-year. Thanks for your interest!!
This is a great video brought back some good memories with my 1969 ford fairlane coupe(not to be mistaken for a Torino body style)had the 428 super cobra jet engine/drag pack 430 rear end/close range 4 speed trans.only had top end 110mph in 10.3 sec. ➕️ run only a few factory built W/Cobra badges on the grill 2 on ea.front fender and trunk lid and 428 super cobra jet on hood scoope and there was more about this factory built race car but at 73 my memory isn't as great anymore. 🤔131 DragWay Martin Mi. Is where it was run mostly.and this video would of been better without the camera men out of the way.😊
Thanks for your interest and great story! Yea, the fence is now a problem. I won't go back without some sort of camera boom arm to get over the fence and line of media it attracts. Everyone had the same problem and many are clueless I was panning every run. Ton of fun to be there tho!!
Great video, love that you got up close, it’s ok the finish wasn’t there, that fence will be everyone’s challenge going forward
Thanks!!! When we go back we'll have a camera boom for over the fence and media individuals. Still, it was a great day!!!
My fav hotrods ever... Ive wanted a 53 henry j ever since i built the model as a kid... 😈🤘
This is what IHRA was. Southern Style 🏁
IHRA is the International Hot Rod Association; NHRA is the National Hot Rod Association. NHRA is ostensibly a not-for-profit corporation headquartered in Glendora, CA; IHRA is currently owned by IRG Sports & Entertainment headquartered in West Palm Beach, FL.
Both have member tracks and run sportsman and professional drag racing categories. The biggest difference is size and scope as well as classes. NHRA is much larger in terms of revenue, tracks, competitors, and spectators. IHRA, true to their name has major events in the USA, Canada, and now Australia. The sportsman classes are pretty similar in each - there’s a lot of overlap between a Super Stocker in either sanctioning body or even a Hot Rod/Street Rod index class car. NHRA has Competition Eliminator and Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car; IHRA doesn’t.
There’s more differences in professional categories:
NHRA: Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Bike, Pro Modified
IHRA: Nitro Funny Car (aka nostalgia), Pro Stock, Pro Modified, Nitro Bikes
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😊😊😊😊like the cars
We love them all and all the "backup girls" too!!! a great show indeed.
Voy a tratar de hacerle unos cara pero escala pero va o pick up
Todos los los géiseres están de show están muy monos monitos monos😮😅
I hate that fence
Total deal breaker! We'll have to go back with a camera boom to get over it. It was unexpected and unfortunate. If anything, for better general sight, the fence should be black and not silver/galvanized which reflects sunlight. Nobody is thinking.
I shared this on my facebook , it is one of the best gasser videos ever !
too bad the track isn't a 1/4 mile.
As u can see that is a smaller track not a big bucks track better have it the way it is then not have a track at all
@@garyallowayjralloway2126 Great track and in the middle of a farm country setting. many of these tracks are closing as well as well known 1/4 mile tracks. Lucky to still have this one and it's doing well.
Small 1/8 mile strips that are locally owned small businesses are the heart and soul of drag racing. Without them the sport is doomed
Would be nice to hear which car won. Some it’s obvious others-?
True, with most you can see the green light above. Poor vantage point with the new fence and other media people hanging on it. As far as the PA announcer, cant hear a thing w cars running. Appreciate the interest!
what is the track length?
Shadyside features an 1/8-mile drag strip (fully concrete prepped) with concrete barriers down the track and an Accutime system. There is 2,000 feet of shutdown area which runs uphill.
You may not like the fence but without it you end up with a bunch of nitwits who think everyone is there to watch them stand around in their $400 sneakers two feet away from the cars trying to race. It’s bad enough that it’s only 1/8 mile racing but you end up with a bunch of people standing around in the way.
😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😅😅
Thanks!!! appreciate your interest. We have another with better angles prior to the fence going up. Check through our videos if you like for it and a backup girl feature.
I guess this as old school as you are going to find these days..... Don't see multi-national corporate sponsor ship plastered all over the cars at least.....
agreed. nice to not see corporate logs ie: DHL, Lucas Oil, Geico, Optima, Red bull, etc. plastered all over them.
Looks like a bunch of hotrods to me.
Looks like, smells like and sounds like. So, must be! Thanks for your interest.
YBNORMAL
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH MY GASSER FAMILY!!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!!
Our pleasure! We appreciate your support, John!!!
