It’s a work in very slow progress, as it’s a gift due in a year or two, and I’ve changed some of the colors to blue ones to match the recipient. Well, it’s just under 75% now. 😊 Will send you a picture when I’m done. 😁👍🏻

I tend to overthink... especially picking colours, and I test lots of options to try to really nail it down. I'm excited the fox is nearly done...looking forward to seeing how it looks with backstitch!

So, I love your start on the Halloween SAL. I haven’t started mine but it’s kitted up and I’m going to do it on a medium blue fabric like light night sky. The floss toss seemed to work. We’ll see. But I told you I was hooked on the company. I resisted the Christmas SAL because I have so many holiday things to stitch already. Then promptly made two separate orders of two kits each and had to pay TWO overseas postage charges.(dumb) because I had narrowed it down to four, only bought two and then went back and got the other two. I blame you because I can’t blame me. 😂😂😂. I love your videos. And although I have many bee charts, the BUZZ is I always have room for one more!

I do love a buzz -y bumble be. I have actually added this give away pattern to my wish list. 😅 Another great video, I would love to see a video on variegated floss. I'm using DMC paris on a forest owl embroidery pattern. Which is one of their free ones. I recommend checking them out 😊. I'm still trying to figure out how best I like to stitch with it.
A big thumbs up for bee patterns...and I think I may actually be developing a Primrose Cottage Stitches obsession too 😂 I keep meaning to check out Owl Forest Embroidery as they do have some lovely designs. I'll pop a variegated thread video on my 'to do' list!
Perhaps it would work to show the physical project when completed and show the picture when the project is in progress? You have created even more buzz in the Cross Stitch world. Congratulations!
I haven't had a finish for a little bit so hadn't thought about it but I agree with your suggestion...I'll definitely show any finishes 'live' as I think that will be much better 😄
Well that was interesting about people preferring the photos as in the last video - the WIP one - it was the opposite! People preferred the real time visual! Photo votes have gone past those preliminary votes :( I prefer the real time ones as you can see the actual stitches much more clearly than the photos. Perhaps you could alternate? Always look forward to your videos. Gives me a BUZZ. I don't know how you do so many at once! I have plenty of time but don't get a fraction done of what you do. So interesting to see how you like CGT as they are made here in Australia so impressive that they get over there!
Thank you 😊 I only really had one person comment on the approach in the WIP parade and I think for a WIP parade it really is better holding them up. I went back to double check the previous flosstube though just to be sure I had it correct and it was 9 votes liking the new approach, 2 not so much and 2 that had no preference....all very interesting! I am still on the fence myself 😂 I can say I'll be holding the real pieces up for any finishes (or FFOs) though...again, just seems better for those. I'm always delighted to hear you enjoy my videos...and I'm not sure how I fit all those WIPs in either...well, I guess the answer is that I don't! I do plan my days/weeks/months in advance a bit though so that helps. Still loving the Cottage Garden Threads...I don't have a huge experience with fancy threads but definitely love these 🩷 I am not sure I would sensibly be able to get my hands on them if it weren't for Talking Dog Stitchery stocking them so I'm very happy about that 😄
@@catkinandlillie I wonder what the difference is between the CGT threads and DMC? I've asked on FB but everyone just says it's smoother, nicer variegation dying... DMC have less choices but they are 1/6 of the price! I was trying to find out what makes them six times better! It's still just cotton. I thought it was silk at that price. I really love that bee-themed design! I made a calendar once with a honey theme and ever since I've loved that theme. It creates such a buzz in me! ;)

But I told you I was hooked on the company. I resisted the Christmas SAL because I have so many holiday things to stitch already. Then promptly made two separate orders of two kits each and had to pay TWO overseas postage charges.(dumb) because I had narrowed it down to four, only bought two and then went back and got the other two. Another great video, I would love to see a video on variegated floss. I'm using DMC paris on a forest owl embroidery pattern. Which is one of their free ones. I recommend checking them out 😊.
I'm still trying to figure out how best I like to stitch with it.
A big thumbs up for bee patterns...and I think I may actually be developing a Primrose Cottage Stitches obsession too 😂 I keep meaning to check out Owl Forest Embroidery as they do have some lovely designs. I'll pop a variegated thread video on my 'to do' list!

I haven't had a finish for a little bit so hadn't thought about it but I agree with your suggestion...I'll definitely show any finishes 'live' as I think that will be much better 😄
@@catkinandlillie Just to clarify, I was referring to finished stitching, not fully finished or FFO.
Well that was interesting about people preferring the photos as in the last video - the WIP one - it was the opposite! People preferred the real time visual! Photo votes have gone past those preliminary votes :( I prefer the real time ones as you can see the actual stitches much more clearly than the photos. Perhaps you could alternate?
Always look forward to your videos. Gives me a BUZZ. I don't know how you do so many at once! I have plenty of time but don't get a fraction done of what you do. So interesting to see how you like CGT as they are made here in Australia so impressive that they get over there!
Thank you 😊 I only really had one person comment on the approach in the WIP parade and I think for a WIP parade it really is better holding them up. I went back to double check the previous flosstube though just to be sure I had it correct and it was 9 votes liking the new approach, 2 not so much and 2 that had no preference....all very interesting! I am still on the fence myself 😂 I can say I'll be holding the real pieces up for any finishes (or FFOs) though...again, just seems better for those.
I'm always delighted to hear you enjoy my videos...and I'm not sure how I fit all those WIPs in either...well, I guess the answer is that I don't! I do plan my days/weeks/months in advance a bit though so that helps.
Still loving the Cottage Garden Threads...I don't have a huge experience with fancy threads but definitely love these 🩷 I am not sure I would sensibly be able to get my hands on them if it weren't for Talking Dog Stitchery stocking them so I'm very happy about that 😄
@@catkinandlillie I wonder what the difference is between the CGT threads and DMC? I've asked on FB but everyone just says it's smoother, nicer variegation dying... DMC have less choices but they are 1/6 of the price! I was trying to find out what makes them six times better! It's still just cotton. I thought it was silk at that price.
