The Japanese man already lives in Amsterdam for thirty years now and married an English woman who also lives in Amsterdam. He has a martial arts school. His family in Japan thought it was hilareous that he was famous in The Netherlands just because he's Japanese.

being in quarantine for corona is boring but this made me laugh so hard my mom came to ask me if everything was alright.
The Dutch by themselves are very direct by nature. There is no beating around the bush as it is often seen as a waste of time. But this actually adds to Ushi's Act. There is no buffer period. No Japanese woman would ever be like this and i know it. But everyone is just having a good time. Man i miss television like this.

Oh man, I forgot about Ushi! Wendy was hilarious as her. This couldn’t fly now anymore probably, and would be seen racist.
Not at all. I mean why would this be seen as racist? It's called comedy. Nobody in this show had that thought of racism and i still don't. It's when people start to use the word racism as soon they see a few culturally different groups represented the hate starts. Or when they start assuming they can predict what others think. Stop talking about it.

It's the same concept with Borat: the actor dresses up as somebody from a country with a very different culture which most Westerners don't know very well, then the prank victims are put in unsual situations and they don't know how to react because of the cultural differences, so it's funny 😜
