- I recently decluttered some of my makeup & in the process found some things that I completely FORGOT I had!! I wanted to sit down and reuse some of those things!! I completely agree. I can’t afford to be throwing away my high end makeup so I have a lot of palettes that have been discontinued like the UD original naked palette and some too faced & tarte.
Perfectly said. This way we can get inspiration to use our stuff and not feel pressured into having to get the new ones.
Also you can give recommendations for similar products that work similarly to the discontinued ones!
I don't mind limited/discontinued products being used! My heart actually breaks when creators declutter something they love because they got it into their head that they can't use it on their channel anymore. The only caveat I would recommend is that, when you use it, be very descriptive of its color/tone/finish so people who would like a dupe of it will have an easier time finding one. Great video!
I agree with describing the color, finish, texture, etc! And if you can think of similar products to try instead for a similar effect!

I like seeing discontinued stuff! It helps me gauge what stays in your routine in the long term as a pattern over time versus stuff that is just hyped for 5 min. It also inspires me to get my old stuff out or use something else from that brand. I think it’s a mistake to leave something out because it’s discontinued when most of the time viewers are using similar things to recreate looks and not exact products!
I love seeing older or limited edition/discontinued products being used. If I have it too it’s always fun to get it out, I like getting as much use out of my products as possible. If I don’t have it I can always find something similar. There is so much good makeup out there that’s not brand new!
I would be okay with seeing stuff you can't get anymore, as long as you give alternatives that are similar shade/formula wise. Love your videos!
I think you should use products that you’re wanting to use even if they’re not available! I hate seeing people get rid of products they like because they’re not available because it seems so wasteful. Also, I think it encourages people to use what they have that’s similar in their own collection instead of thinking they need exact products to get a look. Love you Allie ❤❤

We get that there are tons of new products being released and you have to review them and focus on them for some time but then there are so, so many new products being released that "normal" consumers cannot keep up with that or afford it. So I hope that you continue using older or discontinued products in your videos from time to time ☺

I think discontinued products still have value and are worthy of the spotlight! I love looking up tutorials for older eyeshadow palettes to give me inspiration! I'm actually doing a series Calle Who Wore It Better, where I follow old tutorials. Your video using ABH Norvina is my video this month! I certainly won't do it was good as you but it will be fun to try!
For me I think it is actually fun to see you use products you can’t get anymore because maby I have them and have forgotten about it to and I personally never get irritated if it is done once in a while, This was a great fun to watch ❤
I want people to start using more discontinued products. The thing is, at one time, a lot of people bought those items, and still use those items. I would love to see what I bought being used
You inspired me to do a declutter in my makeup collection and I’ve found so many things I’d forgotten about I’m going to really try and focus on the older products that somehow made their way to the very back of all drawers 😂🙈 happy Thursday lovely Allie xx
I’d love to see you use more discontinued products!! I have a huge makeup collection and most of it is older products that are discontinued because I bought them in clearance bins or close out stores. I don’t have a big budget for makeup, and with the cost of inflation, I won’t be buying new makeup releases anytime soon. So for me it’s really fun to see videos on CZcams that use older products because it sometimes reminds me of items in my own stash that I haven’t used in a while and want to pull out again! 😊💕

It inspires me to use something I already own and it’s extra fun if the product you are using is something I have in my stash. I don't care if products you use on videos are discontinued, I don't really watch you for product recommendations, at least in videos of using nothing new, just here for inspo on looks and for the love for make-up we all share! 🥰 If I want recs for products I'll watch the "best according to you" -series or videos where you try new things!

Would absolutely watch the occasional video of nothing new, or forgotten makeup. I so enjoyed the declutter series, and I had so many questions about products you have but I haven't seen used lately.
Perfect video. I personally love seeing these forgotten products being used. My goal this year is to go through my stash every 3 months to rotate out and use the ones I forgot. It's so fun!
So I did this as a new year resolution- but have just had a bad reaction, I think because one of them must have been slightly expired. Such a shame, but has made me throw out everything to be on the safe side. And not to let makeup pile up/get forgotten about in the future.
Using discontinued products is awesome for us because we all have things that might be similar. I know you get gifted or buy new stuff all the time, but it just gives us inspiration to not be wasteful and use what we have. It’s so fun to see the “new” old. ❤

I think that “Using makeup I forgot about” is a great idea for a video series. First, I am sure I am not alone when I say that I enjoy seeing any makeup look you come up with and truly look forward to each and every one of your uploads. Second, it gives you the opportunity to revisit and reuse all of your makeup purchases not just the newest items whether you purchase them as well or receive them in PR. Third, it motivates us all to also dip back into our collections and that you do not always have to be buying the newest item to have fun with makeup … not that there is anything wrong with that, I myself am guilty of doing the same I just simply mean to say it’s refreshing when an influencer such as yourself can give us a bit of both worlds.
What if you did a video of one side of stuff that you can’t get anymore and something that has replaced it on the other?

Yes it may mean that New can’t get it but it’s refreshing to see your older stuff used again instead of always trying new stuff, it’s really exhausting always seeing new stuff. AND don’t forget WE HAVE that old/not new/ limited edition makeup- y’all aren’t the only ones with it. In fact we probably bought it because you recommended it originally. Please use your older makeup, don’t be stains to use it. Make videos where all you use is old makeup, make videos where you use a mix of old and new, etc. I want to see it all!
It would be awesome if you did a discontinued makeup video, and for each item give a recommendation of a similar product (or dupe) that's not discontinued. This allows viewers who have the discontinued products, and those who don't, to recreate your look :)
Yes! Sometimes I get limited edition things based on CZcams reviews, and then never see people use them again 💔 I love to see how other people use things, especially when I have them too, and sometimes I need ideas/inspiration for them

Hi Allie I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that Huda eyeshadow palette, it is so versatile. When I first bought it the pale purpley/pink/lilac shimmer (in the middle of the top row) scared me to death and I never used it, but then one day .. when I was feeling bold .. I used it and immediately fell in love with it. I use it all the time with other palette combos, it is just so beautiful and not at all scary!!!
I think a really fun series would be duping the discontinued! So half face discontinued products and half current, that would be so fun and no one really does anything like that!!
Absolutely, you should enjoy them! That's what they are for. If you save them, they'll expire and then we wish had used them up. 😀
I honestly would love to see more tutorials using limited edition items, maybe even a full face using limited edition items, because some people might have bought a makeup item then not know what to do with them anymore because there are no tutorials out there.

I think there are so many makeup products now that it’s hard to keep up and so using older products makes it more a chance that someone has what you are using, emphasizes you don’t need to buy new stuff to get a particular look, and let’s face it… people are watching your videos because you’re awesome and they enjoy “spending time”with you… it doesn’t matter what you are putting on your face! why have i never thought to do this i have the huda palette too, and i bought it because of your recommendation ,i used it non-stop for a hot minute then took it out of circulation for a bit, but i never thought to use both the maeuve and brown and layer them together, i always used them both separatley as a crease shade..i love the pinky brown shade they made together, i can't wait to do this the next time i do my makeup
