As a sophomore in HS JJ McCarthy broke his thumb on his throwing hand before the State Championship game. Didn’t tell anyone. Passed for over 300 yards, 3 td, and won the Ship. Didn’t pound his chest on how tough he was. Simply played with a broken thumb on his throwing hand and “did his job.”

Your actually wrong. Michigan had the #1 run blocking offensive line in the country. BUT they actually ranked #21 in pass blocking. The reason why they had to run the ball so much vs Penn State was because OLUMUYIWA FASHANU (Mocked at #10) balled out and made Michigan’s tackles into turnstiles on every pass play.

@ryansteve2893 Maye had 425 attempts, 29 sacks... Mccarthy had 332 attempts, 19 sacks. These numbers reflect both teams sacks ratios are very similar. This is a tough one. Huge fan of Daniels, brings that electric playmaking ability. Maye is a big strong athlete who can make plays. JJ, I'm liking more and more. He's comfortable in the pocket. He works under center more. He has a strong arm, he can run. If we could trade back and still get JJ, do it. If we have to pick a QB at two, it's got to be Daniels.

I was sold on Maye near the beginning of the debate, and I was completely against McCarthy. Although I haven’t watched a lot of game-day video for any of these three, I have watched and listened to analysis from a LOT of “football people” (frankly, I’m not good enough at evaluating college players alone by only watching videos).
My thinking at this point is that McCarthy is probably a good compromise between the strengths of Daniels and Maye; for example, Daniels is easily the best runner in the bunch and Maye is probably the strongest passer, and may have the potential to BECOME the BEST passer in time. McCarthy is already good at both AND he is already used to running an NFL-like offense.
I, personally, would pick McCarthy first, then Daniels and then Maye. I think any of them would be fine eventually with the right coaching, but that’s just how I would prioritize my picks if I was making the choice (thankfully, I’m not).
Of course, one big thing that everyone needs to consider is that ONLY the Commanders’ staff knows exactly what kind of offense they intend to run. Whomever they choose, that person is going to have to fit their plan. That’s not necessarily the best athlete of the three, but the one that is most capable of understanding what they want and executing it. Of course, that’s also a two-way street because the Commanders also have to choose the one that’s going to be most comfortable in the offense that they intend to create and use… the one that would feel the most “at home.”

Best in depth analysis of JJM & Maye on YT. JJM has very good to mid potential depending on organization and more development. The intangibles not on stat sheets are getting GMs and coaches intrigued, Harbaugh’s coaching of the interview process probs played a huge part, plus the dude is charismatic AF per reports. JJM’s pre snap reads are rarely talked about, it’s also elite. Maye is boom or bust, he scares me & he’s got Mitch Trib vibes. Caleb is the scariest - his steez has Bo Callahan from Draft Day all over it and he seems like another Kyler.

What QB is going to come in the NFL and have a 1 of 1 trait. Jayden Daniels, will be the fastest QB in the NFL. Why is this important? Almost every QB who has won the SB or been MVP had a 1 of 1 trait. (Mohomes Arm Talent) (Brady Clutch) (P Manning Defensive Recognition) (E Manning Reliability Consistency) (Flacco Playoff Performance) (Rodgers Offense play recognition). When you have a QB with a 1 of 1 trait your team will make the playoffs more often. RG3 had 1 of 1 before he got hurt washington made the playoffs, Lamar Jackson agility 1 of 1, Cam Newton speed size 1 of 1, Josh Allen is now the 1 of 1 speed size ect. Take DJ and don't question it nobody besides caleb williams will come into the NFL at QB with a 1 of 1.

Get over the dumb. The boy was carried by defense and a running game. He didn't even have to throw the ball at all. Hardly in the chamyes, s*** You talk about not enough tape when you're talking about someone like Drake. May well, they're definitely no proof that JJ McCarthy. Will be anything other than a back up because there's not enough tape
