I like your videos and have been subscribed for some time now. One thing that I believe may help your production is the exclusion (or at least reduction) of the on screen commentary to allow the viewer to more closely follow the action and glean what you are portraying without distraction . You could provide the option to click on closed captioning for those who feel so inclined. I just find myself drawn to the comments as they pop up and while I do so my eye is naturally drawn from the view through the camera. Respectfully, for your consideration.
David, first off, thank you for watching and your continued support! I really appreciate this type of comment, as I don't always know which are the best production options to go with. Since you've offered details on your perspective, I'm inclined to put mine as well to see what you (and others who are willing to take the time to read this) think, to be able to make better production decisions in the future.
The captions being optional via the CC button is a good example of one of them. Here is my thought process:
1. Besides being a new content creator (read: no production experience other than the videos on this channel), I also follow the "big" creators in this space for references on how to produce successful content. I would say they are 50/50 on the automatic vs optional captions.
2. Your perspective is noted and I have definitely thought about this perspective before, to the point that ADV 4 (Forbidden!) was structured this way. I didn't get any feedback from viewers one way or the other and this was one of my least successful videos (though could be for a variety of factors).
3. The counterpoint to your perspective is that the casual viewer, with less understanding of the gear, camping, motorcycles, etc may not fully understand what is being presented on the screen without some sort of commentary. Thus, clicking away from the video.
4. There are some messages that i'm trying to get across as the creator and to help grow the channel so i can continue to make content. subscribe, like, teasers to continue watching to the end, etc. At the end of the day, what CZcams values to promote your content is view time.
Anyway, I will continue to try and find better ways to produce content that adds more value than it distracts/detracts. -Best

What do I think of your camping spot? It is awesome! Perfect! Very tasty dinner as well. I moto-camp all the time and I am either impressed by how much you pack onto that bike, or that cot/tent packs up smaller than I imagined!
Roland, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! The cot/tent is pretty small. some people take it backpacking, though this luggage setup is also >100 liters, which is a bit much on this bike, but it's what I got for now! Happy motocamping!
