He looks sedated. I don't think they sedated him when he was younger. As the monkeys mature they become impossible for the domestic handler to reasonably manage. It's only a matter of time till the handlers "release" the monkey into the wild. The more psychotic ones tend not to fair well.

I wish they would be proactive and get him to walk on all fours for the video's if nothing else. This not going to end pretty, but it never does. They want the baby for at most a year and then she will have him "return to forest". And in their country it is completely acceptable. Its sad if you put a man and a monkey together the monkey always loses.

Tuttavia, di fronte alle telecamere questo non accade perché vengono "respinti" dal caregiver umano provocando sofferenza con strilli e pianti. Per questa ragione soffrono molto sia per il cambio di ambiente che non e il loro e per la mancanza della loro madre. (Lo hanno nel loro DNA).
