When I did Tree work we used Poulin. Anything coming from family has special value. Most fathers have a way of always have quality tools.
Good to see you back to making videos again. Really appreciate you went full safety chaps and all. Just kidding. 😆

Back in the 70's I used a 2100 husky with a modified carb. I would file all the rakers down on a chisel bit chain I used. Yes, it was more likely to kick back, and I would not recommend it to anyone that doesn't know how to handle a chain saw, but it would cut through that tree of yours in about 4 seconds. Made getting firewood much faster, not to mention logging easier.

My friends used to pick on me my father owned that saw since it was new, he passed a few years ago now its mine and i have no need for anything bigger. Its big enough to fell trees yet light enough to limb. Its perfect in my book dont need a vreat big saw to look like a badass my dad loved that saw and ill keep it running as long as i possibly can.

@@cbr600rrturbo only thing I can suggest. As a landscaper who learned from a old ass logger, when cutting a tree you fell up, do your undercut first then come in from the top. Similar to trimming limbs off a tree. Cut under first then come in from top so everything parts cleanly.
Great to see you hitting 2023 pretty solid.

I've had mine since 2004, It's been a rock of a saw. I would say it's worth investing it the heavy dogs that have the plastic roller chain catch. If you throw the chain, which is easy to do, a little branch or anything can snag it off, you not only torch the aluminum stock catch, but can really mess up the chain and the case. Plus, it's nice to have the saw sit up on the dogs and keep your chain out of the dirt when you set it down. The saw isn't powerful enough in stock form to necessarily need the big dogs but the other benefits are worth it. I have not thrown a single chain on my saws that have the Sugi or Tsumara bars, they have much tighter gauge tolerances and far harder to wear. I low stump all my cuts because I hate stumps and you can get into some shit if you're not careful and sand tends to wear the hell out of the drive groove on stock bars quickly. Totally my fault but worth saying. There is also an oil volume selector on the underside. it's right near the clutch, you cant miss it, but for hard wood with a 20 inch bar I run it full open. Pine and the like you don't need as much oil in my opinion if it's not dry wood, so you can save a bit since that shit is getting expensive. Great saw.

Got yourself a hot rod. I’m no expert either but the biggest thing for me when operating a saw is getting too far ahead of myself. Something about using a chainsaw a guy wants to go all “gung ho.” Got to remind myself to slow down and think.

That there is a nice saw!! If I’m not wrong the Husqvarna XP saws are their pro grade saws. A 359 is most likely just under their XP line which is still an awesome saw. That tree came down roughly where you wanted and nobody got hurt. That’s not bad at all sir.

No picking here you handled that saw no problem huskys are good they just need that tune every here and there echos are a bit tighter but that's another issue but I like the swedish saw more than the echos

idk if it's just because of what your mic picks up but, it sounds a bit rattly, like the chain is scratching? I'm guessing you'd notice if the oil wasn't feeding though. Also my chainsaw is an axe, so don't take me too seriously ;)
