    The Mackie Control Universal doesn't work the best in FL Studio.. the workflow is pretty tricky honestly.. the best workflow I've found is getting a MIDI Keyboard.. and setting up knobs/sliders individually.. I created a HANDS-ON MIXING COURSE in FL Studio Here:

    This vid is so old , but the marker button is shift for FL, Shift F8 opens plugins from the mixer. Make sure that when you're touching buttons you look at the screen of the MCU because it will tell you what its doing

    You can auto set it up in many plugins by using omni controller feature in FL. Lets say parametic eq. Just use multi control (or whatever it is called) then use omni link to controller.
    Every time you open a parametric the controller will control the 8 bands any way u want.
    Just set it up one time the way you want and it will work after that. 👍

    Thx alot, man. Vid helped me a little to sort out things with PXT-General to emulate MCU mode for my ableton push 1. And i think you better remind people in this vid (make an annotation or put it into vid's description) that they should use 102 port to receive information.

    How would you go about to select a part (audio voice for example), copy and paste it at the end of a song? Didn’t find any videos on any daw controller with those basic editing functions..... just like in final cut pro,,,you hold the mouse over a video or audio or both scroll to select, copy and paste where you want it,,,,simple editing,,,,,,,cant find anything that says : insert point here then jog to desired place, push ‘’end point’’ push ‘’copy button’’ then jog to end of song then push ‘’paste button’’ to duplicate .... would that be possible to use the ‘’function’’ buttons and program them to be: IN, OUT, COPY, PASTE, DELETE ? Thank you for your input!

      You have to be careful - some of the Mackie's don't have the upgrade. I think it's the HUD upgrade? This allows whether the Mackie can be used in Pro Tools or not!

    Why use FL Studio when the Mackie Control Universal Pro was designed to work hand in hand with Logic Pro X? It's seems that allot of the people her are having issues where their should be none. From what I understand when you open your DAW and power up the Mackie Control Universal Pro it automatically maps all the MIDI information so you don't have to.
    Also it seems that FL Studio is very hard to use when Logic Pro X is very easy. Switch to LPX and problem solved.
    Just a thought.

    • @Beatstruggles

    • @davidg7136
      @davidg7136 Před 2 lety

      It does. In your DAW FL studio. Set your midi channels to 102 select mackie control instead of generic controller. If it still doesn't work download the Manuel PDF file from mackie and change the emulation mode from HUI to Mackie universal control. It's as simple as holding a button while you power it on
