In recent decades, both the right and the left have pushed the principles of liberalism to new extremes. The result, Francis Fukuyama argues, has been a fracturing of our civil society and an increasing peril to our democracy. In “Liberalism and Its Discontents,” Fukuyama offers an essential defense of a revitalized liberalism for the 21st century. Publisher’s Weekly calls the book “an authoritative diagnosis… of how liberalism went wrong and how it can reclaim its best impulses.”

Thanks for uploading this very inspiring interview! Fukuyama has been my hero in political thinking. His thought gives so insight explanation for what has happened and happens in my county, South Korea.

No need for Fukuyama-San to understand that South Korea is not a real country, but a defeated and castrated running dog of the US Régime - just like Japan and Germany.

Fukuyama's ideas are undermined by the fading of his hand like Marty McFly's in Back to the Future.

Liberalism and Fascism are two sides of the very same Capitalist coin.
