    Love the invisible kitchen.
    If someone goes into a resturaunt or coffee house, who wants to see the dishwasher and the kitchen sink?
    It just makes sense to extend the same concept to a home.
    Love it.
    It's the future of home kitchen design.
    Blend the kitchen with the rest of the house.

    To make it clear an induction cooktop will only heat up certain dishes through induction. Hense why it is given the name. You could touch it with your hand and nothing would happen.

      But the surface still get's hot from the pot.

    • @joycevillano755
      @joycevillano755 Před 3 lety +5

      The induction surface does not get hot. After cooking, the area where the pot was on the induction cooktop will get warm from the pot, but not hot so it cannot burn someone. Not only is induction much safer than other types of cooking because the surface does not get hot, there is no flame, so one cannot get burned or start a fire, it cooks much faster, literally heats 8 quarts of water within 3 minutes from cold to full boil, it cooks more effectively in half degree increments, the temperature can go so low that one no longer needs a double boiler to cook delicate sauces, chocolate, etc, the cleanup is much easier since food does not burn onto the surface, you can even cook through a paper towel with it under the pot making cleanup super easy and it also saves energy because it is around 90 per cent efficient compared to cooking with gas, which is around 85 per cent efficient, or cooking with an electric stovetop which is around 74 per cent efficient.

    • @Modern_Kitchens
      @Modern_Kitchens  Před 5 lety +14

      Thank you. A very important question we hear often. This is induction cooktop and it heats up only dishes with magnetic bottom. If you sit on the counter and induction burner is on nothing will happen besides you have metal elements on your pants. Same chance to have a problem sitting on a regular induction cooktop.

    • @michaelb.7505
      @michaelb.7505 Před 5 lety +2

      YGK Kitchen Cabinets and Design I disagree and your reasonings fails to settle my suspicions. This is a problem waiting to happen; especially for those with kids. Someone could easily get burned right after you take a hot pot off the counter, right? And I doubt anyone in their right mind would purposely sit on regular induction cook top; therefore, I believe there is a greater chance for someone getting burned w/ this cooktop.

    Will porcelain tops be the only material that works with this? Does the counter top always need to be thin? Will 2cm or 3 cm work? Cool stuff.

      @ericafors6039 Před 4 lety +1

      Baospacity The idea behind Invisicook is great but the controls look like they need further development and more refinement. It’s a bulky wired box placed in a drawer pull down. Also, Invisicook recommends a countertop I know won’t work well long term with induction, Corian.
      We had a glass electric cooktop and 3 of 5 burners caused long thermal cracks in the Corian. I would expect the same material breakdown using induction, the Corian surface would become hot during prolonged use and this would cause thermal stress and cracking. It happens with Corian sinks as well, if you pour hot liquids in them they develop spider cracks. Other than the thermal issues, our Corian has been a joy to clean and maintain over 20+ years. It really is an underrated, low maintenance surface for a heavily used kitchen.
      Corian earns its keep in older homes with floors subject to movement. Corian is flexible enough to bend with the cabinets and not crack. We are headed towards granite or Cambria right now but we will have to do some serious uncoupling of the cabinets and the hardwood floor to keep either choice from cracking over time.
      I really wish Invisicook would do more marketing and development. It’s a great kitchen design idea....

      This kitchen is a "show display" - special display for ABX Show 2018 - in a real kitchen we have marks on the counter showing cooking area. And of course this solution just a way to present different options to solve some unique requests from our clients. All our kitchens have regular cooktops what you can find in appliances store.

      YGK Kitchen Cabinets and Design I thought your display was wonderful. I particularly love the Sapienstone induction. I have been using induction for 7 years but we are moving way from it in our new remodel. Why? Well, the glass is constantly scratching and I hate to look at the scratches.
      Using porcelain instead of Schott Ceran glass/ceramic is a huge deal to me! Now, if it would be possible to mix induction and gas according to my needs on the same porcelain cooktop surface, I would be really happy. I want total control over the placement, something like PITT Cooking and Sapienstone induction mixed. This would satisfy my aesthetic and practical needs as well as making clean up a joy. It would be so much easier and better looking than those clunky professional gas ranges! 😎
