Heading into holiday weekend, Ryan, Channing and Fred are sitting to talk about hot topics in the sports world and reflect before Easter Sunday. With March Madness in full swing and the NFL offseason ramping up, the guys talk through many of the big headlines and what ifs!
When people mention March Madness, most thoughts may head to the men’s game, but this season that mindset has been shifted. Ryan brings up the emergence of Caitlin Clark and they break down how influential she has been for women’s basketball. Beyond Iowa’s superstar, though, Channing and Fred can point to more women’s stars this year with the likes of Juju Watkins and Angel Reese than they can men’s.
While they were divided on their takes surrounding Ice Cube’s Big 3 offer to Caitlin, they agree that it is great marketing either way. In college sports branding has become huge, and the draft comments by Deion Sanders on his son Shedeur and Travis Hunter are evident of this.
Deion Sanders has the grounds to make claims on wanting his best players to go to specific destinations, but the pressure put on them to now perform goes beyond that. Channing says teams won’t really listen to Deion, but Ryan’s take on Shedeur going to the Cowboys could be a power play by Sanders.
Easter is a time spent with close ones, and Chan pivots their conversation to the topic of family and the roles of parents. The Nickelodeon documentary “Quiet on Set” shined a light on the mistreatment of child actors, leading to the bigger topic of how to protect their children. Ryan points to instilling the right ideals into your kid while Fred looks at the importance of staying present and aware for your kids.
The Pivot typically focuses on moments in the past that shaped who people are today, but Ryan alters the question by asking what their biggest pivots moving forward should be. Whether it is wishing for more discipline, empathy or pride, the three all agree that nobody is ever perfect, but a good circle and strong morals go a long way.
New episodes drop on Tuesdays at 12 p.m. ET and Fridays at 3:30 p.m ET on CZcams, with audio available on all streaming platforms including Apple, Spotify and Amazon.

I find myself enjoying just the three of them more and more.
Same! Love these guys
Yes absolutely agree ✊🏽💯
100%. The episodes where the 3 of them just talk current events and life are the best episodes in my personal opinion.
It is Awesome! I like them putting themselves in the guess seat.
Same here. I call them The Perfect Fit
The real conversation for me is why Fred Taylor is not in the Hall of Fame?
It's coming within a year or 2
I agree
Roger Craig is not in. He should not be in.
@@jamesstreeter7434Roger Craig also doesn't have close to 11,000 yds rushing, or the yds per carry Fred has. Plus Craig had a much better supporting cast around him.
Facts 💯
The fact you guys openly talk about God and Jesus Christ, down for y'all any day if the week. God is good all of the time
Fellas!!! No Guest…yet one of the Best episodes yet!! 100% Revealing, Great Conversations, & advice. Absolutely love the Grace explanation by RC. As a pastor, you did us proud Sir 💪🏾💯🏆.
Sneaky Fred is the Billie Dee of football ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
(User-qo6) I like that.🙂👍
I’m loving Fred’s swag now!! He’s seems more conversational and open❤
Lord, I thank you for your Grace and Mercy that surrounds me like a Shield each and every day!
Hey my fellow Pivoters! Happy Good Friday.
Happy Easter Weekend, enjoy be safe everyone🙏
Happy Good Friday
I'm 53 and Fred is FIIINNNEE!!!
Fred considers you and me , an aunt, at our age and says we can only bake him a red velvet cake! 😂
Sixty-seven, and I agree. Old and my eyes still work. 👁👀😄👁👀😁👁👀😮
I just want to thank you gentlemen for being a positive force for all brothers and sisters, you are the real deal.
Ryan illustrated the whole Cowboys shedeur situation like a motion picture. Thats a talent brother.
Deion told him what to say
My husband speculated this scenario after Russell signed with the Steelers! Great minds think alike 😮
I believe it’s possible.
the 3 man shows are the best. The vulnerability of these black men at the end of the 3 man show is amazing and I applaud them for it. Great job as always gentlemen. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
People mad at Ice cube but dont even support the Big 3 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ he was a genius to offer that….its business
People just are mad to be mad, there's no rhyme or reason to it smh
Mad at his political views. I don't believe its just his business decision. ❤
@@denisehenry3427It's deserved
Freddie T, I feel you on your need to do pivot! That hits home! Motivation!!! Respect!
I like how they do episodes with just the three of them. Guest not always necessary
I love the "real" convos that The Pivot offers! Always on point💯👍🏽!
Why is Shedeur and Travis always mentioned but not Shilo? Shilo is a monster at safety.
His tackling isnt consistent. Yes he led the team in tackles but he missed a lot as well.
Yes I agree. Shilo is THAT dude for sure.
@Bruss813 True but they say Prime's son and no Shilo
None of them are consistent shilo relies on shoulder lead big hits its hit or miss with that type of tackler but it won’t work in the nfl… Shedeur and Travis still need this year to prove themselves more so Travis needs to solidify which position he will pursue.. prime can say anything but they also went 4-8 so yeah dude so focused on these two boys it just doesn’t seem like the other kids be getting the right amount of attention and it showed last year in the holes both on defense and offense
Shilo is not a NFL safety. He’s undersized, not fast and is a poor tackler. That was against lower tier college teams. NFL is a totally different monster.
Fred looks great and I love his wisdom he seems to be so level-headed
50:38 RYAN IS PREACHING 😅... PAST THE PLATE
Loved the pivot question. All three reflections hit home for me. Great episode ❤
I love Fred bald head!!
He looks good!!!
Me too!!! I love the bald look on him with the beard.
Ya'll better leave Fine ass Freddy alone,Keep up the amazing showguys, this is my favorite show.
Thank you all for the transparency & powerful messages. God bless you all ♥️🙏🏾
I truly love this podcast and the conversations and different and some time similar perceptive these men bring to the table.
I really enjoyed the part about something that you could work on about yourself. I'm loving the fact of being vulnerable from these Men publicly. And also the thing Channing was saying about protecting you children at all cost & Ryan saying to teach them about speech ing up for themselves. Parents have to know they're children pay attention to them teach teach teach them and listen to them talk and have conversations often so they don't grow up to have mental promises and so on. I love you guys keep up the good work God bless you and your families. 🙏
Parental rearing most important thing we will ever do. Our kids were always our priorities for manners, honesty, development, respect no subject was too difficult to discuss. Kids always got it from the hip. A daughter now 28 and son 25 both collegiate student/athletes graduated in 4 years other Masters in 6. Our true blessings. Your Friday discussions always have so much to ponder and initiate. Keep it going PIVOT! Enjoy Easter
Good Friday talk!! All for it! Thanks fellas!!
Gentlemen, I'm a fan of the Podcast. My youngest son introduced me to it. I love the relationship between you. I love the representation of the fellowship among black men in general, and black, professional, men more specifically. I appreciate the use of the "N" word is pretty much absent from your conversations. This last episode was no different in quality as the rest of your episodes. What I feel compelled to speak on however, is the end of the show when RC asked about Easter plans and a future "pivot" for the hosts. From "my perspective," the answers given by the hosts (to include RC) were so revelatory, at least in my mind, of something that I saw as lacking and an opportunity for me to contribute positively. What I saw missing, was a relationship for each of you, with the Lord Jesus Christ. RC spoke on coming off as abrasive and also not feeling deserving of what Jesus did for us all. The answer is, none of us deserve it. That's what makes it so great. God's death on the cross was the single most greatest gift and act of love that none of us deserve(d). But we need to receive it freely. Then in appreciation for it, and out of a "relationship" those things that RC says he continues to do will be overcome and also the stronghold built up over time can be torn down so others won't perceive him as, as he said, abrasive. Channing mentioned not necessarily caring about the "name" people call God, being spiritual himself. It actually does matter. This is not like Romeo and Juliet, where the statement was made, " a rose called by any other name, would smell as sweet." Not in this case. God executed a very intricate plan to make sure the name of Jesus was known because that name is the only name that gives us access to God and His promises. On the pivot question, Channing mentioned not having empathy (emotionally in tuned) when others are going through situations and circumstances that may not be positive. Understanding who Jesus is and the reason for Him coming and dying and giving us the victory, will create empathy for others as you come to realizing it was love, compassion, and empathy for us that He did what He did. Fred mentioned not wanting to go to church early in life due to not having suits and so Easter is more about the festivities and on the pivot question he mentioned needing to be more disciplined. A relationship with Jesus Christ will provide purpose and create a sense of motivation to share the good news of Christ because you'll understand the importance of the message and the limited time to share it. Thank you for The Pivot Podcast and the positive, public representation of black men.
I really appreciate the conversations and the volume of information yall talk on. Keep up the excellent work fellas .
Ryan Clark presents a much needed wholesome perspective on athletics. Values are rare.
Somebody plssssssss tell rc I am him and I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING HE SAID!! He spoke to me EXACTLY FROM GROWING UP TO HOW HE EXPLAINED THE EASTER !!!! Someone tell HIM PLSSSS
Women’s March Madness is definitely hitting harder than the men’s tournament.
I loved u put Dan Schneider on blast. Kat said it's up for all them
Good afternoon, Thank you y'all's for platform, Hello from Baytown, Texas
Duckface Freddy took me tf out 😭😭
Chan ain’t wrong best naps I ever had was in church thank Jesus
Thanks for being so open God got you guys
God bless you Ryan Clark. Teach your sons. It's always been about the boys.
Fred I totally feel you...I'm not as disciplined and I have to push myself to do things that used to just come natural. Although we should do better, I think it just comes with age...man we're tired! We have pushed and done things and been there for everybody else for so long, we're tired and just want to sit and chill...but nothing gets done when we do that. Just relax and rejuvenate and you'll get your full mojo back....much love! ❤
One of the best open and honest shows as of yet,THANK YOU ❤❤❤
Ryan Clark spot on.... It was the black, white, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson effect. I never watched women's basketball until last year. I thank Angel and Catlin for competing like they did.... God bless them both...
Great show, good conversation on sports, parenting, faith and personal insight!
If Shedeur goes to Dallas I will become a Cowboys fan again. I really hope it happens
Go look at the youtube video of jerry jones and coach Prime. Jerry's treating him like the Prodigal Son that just came home. Jerry was also quoted saying that he would draft both of coach prime sons. Looking them both up
@@karltonwebb Remember him during Superbowl saying to Prime we need to talk.
@20:10 good ass point Brother Chan. We are invested for the ride because we know the likelihood is that these young women will be around for several years where dynasties will come and legends and rivalries will be made
That Barrabas & Jesus Christ trade comment…my God today! The true meaning of Easter 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Love this podcast fr ‼️
The pushback against Manning on that draft was insane and all anyone would talk about. It literally is still brought up on how mad people were about the moving they did to get him to NY.
If you watch Deion Jr’s Well Off channel closely on at least two and maybe three occasions, there has been film of Deion talking to Jerry Jones at the Super Bowl and other NFL events where they edited the sound out. He also made a point on all those occasions to introduce Shadeur and Shilo to Jerry Jones and other top execs at Dallas. I think the deal has already been cut for Shadeur and Shilo to go to Dallas if it can be worked out.
I was telling people the exact same thing. Especially when the sound went off 😂😂
Dallas is already in tank mode that's why they let everyone leave...
That boy Fred finally came home!!!
Love, love, love these no guests episodes! Freddy T is looking F I N E ❤
Much love from Canada 🇨🇦
Channing is exactly right about women's basketball, still being "old school" basketball.
Channing's comment about
40 year old men being in line alone with children was an interesting subject.
To Ryan’s point..I’m very impressed with CoCo Guaff’s parents. They stay close to her, since she came into the pro’s and now she’s twenty, and they are still there most of the time.
Kobe talked about AAU vs international players. And how AAU is not developing players in Men’s basketball.
The Product of Grace Shirt is fire bro.
He spilled bleach on it
Thanks Ryan for sharing the GOSPEL!!! We called to share Christ at all opportunities. Amen
Freddie T: "did he have a spouse that went and got a hotdog or sum'n?" 😆
Praying for you Brothers 🙏🏾🙌🏾
ELWAY!!!! Did the same thing to San Diego.
Fred! Looks Good! Wink Wink LOL
LSU vs IOWA reminds me of USA vs RUS in chess during the cold war.
I watched LSU vs Caitlin and Juju vs UConn and it was good hoops ain’t watched no college men’s basketball
Fred got that Egg head for sure it’s shining 😂 all love tho fr for what y’all do 💯😂
Well said Ryan!
First of all I always enjoy the 3 man show! Secondly, this open and respected conversation between black men is such a jewel. The fact they can agree to disagree and move on is powerful! Young people need to see this. Good content as always fellas!
You three just zRock do the best interviews where you make guys comfortable to open up to you all ! Once I wartch one pivot then I watch shows for hours cause it’s so good! Bring zzzbig Ben on please
I’m so glad someone said that about Kim! I totally agree she was out of line and ghetto for that! 😂
It's always about race but it's also about social media
Happy Friday y’all
You too Ursula and Happy Easter🐇🌻
Great show guys
17:19 Correction... White people dislike Angel Reese.
🎉Love these guys
❤; Fred, loving the bald head.
What do you mean sheduer is his real son? What about Shiloh don't sleep on that young man Channing.😡
He didn’t mention Shilo because the conversation was about QBs and their plans for him in the league and going to a team that’ll be able to build around him
He meant that Travis Hunter who is not his real son.
@@deloresmatt8643right BTW Shedeur and Travis he was indicating Shedeur is his real son, but he definitely treats Travis like one of his on
@@curttheconnector1907 exactly, this comment should have been to the original person who raised the question.
Excellent episode
Speak Ryan! 👏🏾
From Freaky Freddy to Fine Freddy. Great conversation too.
15:28 the hometown angle for shedeur would make the whole city go crazy, especially in cedar Hill DeSoto and duncanville. The marketing itself is it. Instant hometown legend if he puts on the 2 for the cowboys
Chan, you have to remember that women go play in the gyms with dudes, all the time, though! We may not see it as an entertainment event very often, but the women who are THAT good absolutely ball out!
Don't sleep on Shilo! Shilo is that dude. Deion purposely over hyping the other 2.
Great speaking all the time people keep getting up those subscribers
I have full custody of my 3 daughters. Have to guide them right. I can’t protect them from everything. But while they are with me, trust me, they know the bad positions to stay away from, plus I set the curfews. My oldest is a junior at Seton Hall, she’s kicking it and doing the right things. Hope all my girls follow my example.
RC: Hypotheticals
Fred: "You pretty good boy"😭😭
Great show.
It's not being over protective it being present in ur childs life it's making sure that there safe and that means the child can see that My Mom and dad got my back and making ur child feel secure enough that they can come and talk to you if something is making them feel uncomfortable so the pedophile is gonna see that bond that you have with ur child and stay far away so don't ANYONE feel guilty for loving, caring, protecting encouraging and just being present in ur childs life ❤my hat goes off to u guys because my husband is very protective of our kids and that's a good thing we need to see more black men loving protecting and nurturing ur seed
Channing right about oh girl pushing a guard. Rc take was wrong on that part. Channing right, push someone your own size. It's not saying Angel is a goon, its just saying Angel is your size
HalleluYah for the last conversation!!!!
Yall gotta get Jalen Hurts on the show
What about if Cube do a Women big three in their off season and pay them
John elway refused to go to the Baltimore Colts. Kobe Bryant also refused to play for the Charlotte Bobcats.
i hear what RC is saying regarding Catlin Clark but unfortunately the WNBA do not allow their players to play with other leagues while playing under contract.
And that makes sense lol.
Great women's tournament!!!
Product of Grace Hoodie ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Parents need to have tough conversations with their kids.
Honestly, I find all three of you looked quite attractive. I truly love your show.🏈🌹🖤
While I respect the hell out of Ryan Clark, what he represents and has done in the game of football and the industry... His comments about what Kim Mulkey said about Angel Reese whats holding the Women's game back... Kim Mulkey's statement wasn't trying to make Angel Reese a goon... Angel Reese is the "Big Man" of the team. To put it in context it would be like if Tyler Smith shoved Zay Flowers on the ground and Coach Hardbaugh says I wish he would have pushed Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu like that.
The want and need to protect Women in the game when essentially they don't want you to protect them they want to be seen as ballplayers is the issue. We have got to get past this notion. Let them talk smack let them be passionate. Treat them like you would treat a Men's player because I bet if this had happened in the Men's game you would have understood what the Coach was trying to say.
Freddie T, you looking good 😊
Fred is for sure a HOF’ER
Freddie is looking good❤
Gotta say. Love the look Fred. As much as i like wearing caps myself the look is way more professional on camera. It always kinda bothered me that the hat sometimes covered your face. Keep it up g
Uncle Fred done went bald on us ok unc I see ya boy
