  • Loch Katrine is a freshwater Loch situated in the heart of the Trossachs. I haven't cycled around here since I was a kid... it was good to be back.

Great to see the Katrine track again. November 1972 a mate and I broke away from a Glasgow club run at Kippen to ride to Katrine, around the Loch and down past Lochs Chon and Ard to Aberfoyle and then home to Glasgow, 95 miles half in the dark. Highly memorable, the wonderful Trossachs at their best. Thank you.

Loved this. Loch Katrine loop is one of my favourite rides as incredibly scenic but challenging AND traffic free. Nice bike btw 👊. Great soundtrack as well. You’ve inspired me ❤

Hey 👋🏻 your video has just came up in my feed and I’m so glad it did! I know what you mean about visiting places from your childhood, still have a few on my bucket list! Loving the music! (I’m Scottish born and bred) lol ! Looking forward to seeing more of your vids 😊

Lovely video. What a lovely way to get around a beautiful loch. I'm going to hike and wild camp around the Loch soon. Really enjoyed watching and subbed you. Atb Steve 👍

Definitely a favourite route for me, the scenery is incredible. You certainly should visit the area and camp there, plenty of spots for wild camping! If it too cold, there's always the eco lodges right on the Loch too! Thanks for watching, subbed you back 😊👍

Great video again . You are right, we really are lucky to live in such a beautiful country. Was nice to hear about your childhood memories of the place and what it means to you....I think you could get sponsored by Coca-Cola too. Should really have taken Irn Bru with you though🤣🤣🤣🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👌😁🤙🤙🤙

We certainly are, Scotland is beautiful! I think your right, I missed a trick not having a can of Irn Bru on hand! Next time, but only if they change the recipe back to full sugar 😂😂 If Coca-Cola would like to sponsor me, I won't say no to that either 😂 Thanks for watching, hope you've managed to get out while the weather is still relatively decent for this time of year! 🚴‍♂️

You should have cycled from Stronachlachar to Aberfoyle instead of turning back, the road is amazing and it takes you past Loch Chon and Loch Ard which offers stunning views on a nice day! If you are brave enough to ride on the roads you can then go over the Dukes Pass which leads you back to Loch Katrine! I cycled from home in North Lanarkshire earlier this month all the way up to Loch Katrine and back, 130 miles of awesomeness on my Giant e bike ( I had 3 batteries lol) 😁Loved your video👍

Just out of interest, how did you carry the extra 2 batteries? In a pannier or rucksack? I have a fat tyre e-bike I want to take this exact route and will probably need an extra battery too.

@chris420uk I use a Topeak MTX trunk bag which opens up into panniers and does the job nicely.
