I'm Ryan, a certified plant nerd and proud owner of Grass Roots Garden Center in Graniteville, SC (Zone 8 gardening), and I'm so glad you're here.
I grew up in South Carolina on a small farm constantly surrounded by plant life. From a young age, my parents instilled in me a true love of plants & gardening. Years later, I'm excited to share the knowledge they've passed down to me, as well as all the fun and interesting things I've learned as a plant nursery & greenhouse operator.
You might be a beginner gardener who's never planted a seed, or maybe you're a master gardener who could grow award-winning plants blindfolded with your hands tied behind your back. No matter where you are in your gardening journey, I promise this channel will have something for you.

I loved your plant choices for Kimberly's yard! By the way, having lived in Georgia for many years, I have heard "hose pipe". Several gardening bloggers in England also call it "hose pipe", so it must be part of the King's English.

Thank you for this! I live in inland Southern California where it is so hot and have drought situation. Ive never tried growing my own foor but would love to try.

Please teach us about natural pest control for gardening. I’m in Florida and squash bugs devastated my squash, cucumbers and tomatoes. So frustrating I just gave up. I did find out that bug’s don’t bother with green beans or eggplant though. Although the Sand Hill Cranes knocked off my eggplant and destroyed them. Signed failed gardener. 😩

Hey! I saw you on Pretty over 50. I live in Moncks Corner, SC. Recently when I was in Wild Dunes, they had these bushes that have small blue flowers on them. Could you tell me what they are? I have a pic of one of the bushes.

I have a hydrangea that is twenty years old and has only bloomed three different times. What can I do to get it to bloom.
