Thank you!
I love love love watching you paint!
Thank you so much 😀
Wow the Color’s are beautiful!👍🤩
Thank you! Cheers!
I’m so glad that you take the time to explain why you are doing something rather than just paint a picture like so many others on CZcams. One hour, two or three hours. It doesn’t matter. I’m here to learn.thank you.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the comment alot!!!
Love it cause you explain everything as you go . We know what we are doing as we go and understanding why! 👍🤩🥰😍❤️
🤗
I’ve learned more from you in a couple of months than from watching other artists over the last two years. I’m currently in New Mexico and now find myself assigning values to the sky and mountains. I’d love to see more landscapes of the Southwest if at all possible. Love what you’re doing. Thank you.
That is AWESOME Vincent. I do that all the time.
Thank you, thank you David. You can't please everyone, but the ones you do appreciate you very much. Keep being you!

So excited to give this a go! 🎉🎉🎉
Your painting is so much more interesting than the photo, and the journey from beginning to end was just so valuable. As with others, I applaud your patience in explaining things. The snow on the mountain is entrancing with its impressionistic shadows!
Thank you so much 😀
I see a motion of air in your works. Oh, it is so beautiful! Thank you, dear great teacher David!!!👏👏👏

Hi. David I Love your Paintings . You are so talented artist . Its pleaser to watch Your teaching. Thanks You.
Wow, thank you very much Wanda.
Thank you so much David for taking the time to teach us. It’s such a valuable lesson. I painted along with you but was disappointed with my mountain. I will paint it again and go slower.
One problem I had was how creamy the heritage paint is and it was so thick that it took ages to dry, also I get my pallet in quite a mess compared to yours.
Love your paintings and you.❤️💗
You are very welcome. Thick paint does take time. It is hard to get used to painting with thicker paint, but once you do and see all the extra life it adds, it is worth it.
Did someone really say you talk too much? There are plenty of videos that teach the same things over and over to music, no talking at all...GO THERE!!! I have learned so much here. This is what people pay to go to school for. So for all you nay sayers out there, this is top notch info!!!! No need for negative comments because no one is forcing you to watch. But for Mr. Jansen thank you for your time.
Oh yes, I get them each week. Can't make everyone happy. Thank you so much! 😀
Very very lovley and beautyful 💞💯🎨🎨🎨

My pleasure Sabiha. Thank you so much! 😀
Man..I'm looking forward to watching this one!
Thank you so much! 😀
Been watching hours of your videos. This is an older one. Did you say why you didn't do the mountains in the darker blue? Was it because you wanted the cabin to be the center of attention. I'm trying to learn your roses. Just finished watching the gray value one and hope to try it soon. I love the looks of your paintings. I did some paintings a few years ago and used my fingers and I like that you do that. Love learning the terminologies. Thanks so much!
Yes. It is about the cabin. Thanks so much.
Hi David, I have just watched the lesson again and I see where I went wrong, I will use extender next time.
Awesome. I added it a few times in the video.
Hi Dave,
Fabulous painting and excellent technique . I have a question about the landscaping photos, how can I get a reference photo to paint it. I am leaving in the city, so I am searching for references through internet but it’s complicated or the colour not clear. I will appreciate your advice.
Thank you Dave 💞
The reference photo is one I created from 2 purchased photos from Adobe stock photos.
Excellent your tips, I @ 70 + basically whole life project engineer started enjoying painting, but I did in canvas as it was available. Can you guide me in general when should I use board and when stretched canvas for landscaping paintings.
Hi Girish, It all depends on the details for me. I like painting on board when I will have a alot of details in the subjects so I don't have to fight with the weave of the canvas.
Hey Dave ❤how u teach!!! Please never stop! Those cups are they airtight that u stored your paint in?
Rather than a paper towel I use an old face cloth that has good fibers, kept wet, it allows for a lot of the same effects, and I've had the same towel for the last few years, just keep washing it out after I'm done.
Yes that works most of the time. But when I am painting using an open technique, I don't allow water around as it breaks the binder.
Thank you great tips.
You are so welcome Lisa!
❤️
😀
Pięknie.🥇
Thanks
Cuánta belleza profesor😍
Thank you!
Hi.. I am back thank you again!
Welcome back!
Where can I get Heritage acrylic paints in the UK?
Love your videos.
Hi Richard, Email us at JansenArtStudio@aol.com and we can give you some sources. Thanks!
Hey David I really struggle with colour. Which colours to use or which ones to mix to get certain colours. So when I try to paint along with your paintings or other you tubers and don’t have the colours you’re using I start to get a little flustered. Are there reasonable replacements for the colours you use on your landscapes?
Sorry Chris, I don't know all the other brands any longer. I have been using these for so long. Colors can have the same name, but it is the pigment number that is important. Try to find colors with the same pigment number. I explain this in my new video I just uploaded.
@@JansenArtEducation okay, thanks David. I’m trying to paint one of your westerns and some of my colours just don’t look right lol
I really don’t know why he will get one person give him a unlike ?
Thank you Jennet. I don't know why someone would dislike a free video on how to paint.
I don’t get it either! Inspirational plus great information! What’s to dislike! Thank you David!
Trying hard not be so stiff and detailed in my painting., but I get so focused and wrapped up in an area that speeding up doesn’t enter my mind. How do you avoid that?
Just keep painting and working on speed. It will come.
Where I can buy a value chart for color in acrylic or oil paint
