@@BirdDogg My dad was stationed at Hickam, we lived in Kailua on the other side of the Island, next to Koneohe, that base also got hit, along with Bellows airfield in Waimanalo, other side of Kailua. I went thru Jr and High school there, Kailua High, '72. My dad barely missed the Korean conflict, got his wings in '54, didn't have relatives in WW2 but had a couple in WW1, the war to end all wars. And never forget, Albert Pike told the whys and when's of the three WWs in 1867 and he wasn't just whistling Dixie.

@@BirdDogg I moved in '74, been back a few times. Like everywhere, its changed, and l feel Hawaii is....well, hate to say a lost cause. Running out of room, and stuff like the Lahaina Land grab....money talks. Speaking of that, Obama bought an oceanfront estate in Waimanalo, he paid 8.5 million for it before he bought the place in Martha's Vinyard, its the place they filmed Magnum PI at. You know, the tip of the spear of the agenda that's tearing down our statues, our history, that "guy".
