- College move-in day vlog at the Ohio State University. I am a 1st year and am living in the dorms on campus. I know this video is extremely late, but I still wanted to share it with ya'll. I hope you enjoyed watching me move into my dorm, decorate my dorm room and get settled on campus. I have had a great college experience so far, even tho we are in a pandemic. This is literally the thing I’m most nervous about. Seems like I’ll have less privacy, won’t have much alone time, having to share a tiny space with someone else, and what if my roommate doesn’t like me 🙈
That's why I plan on getting an apartment. Although depending on where you go, you might be able to request a single dorm

if you don’t mind me asking, how hard was it to get into the business scholars program? i applied for it a few months ago and i did a ton of research but i haven’t found any information on the size or acceptance rate of any of the scholars programs

When you have a dorm so small, that bed goes UP. I'm in a single, roughly a little smaller, and much shorter than your double. But as soon as I saw my dorm, I instantly knew to loft my bed and it was the best decision. I have a bit of floor space and that's super nice!

The thing that I'm most excited about in 2021 is trying to get back to normal after being in such an abnormal few months. I can't say that 2020 was bad, because we didn't really have any major issues per say. We were able to continue to pay our rent and bills in full, and we have food in our home. So I can't complain. In fact we have been able to help different food banks and charities this past year which is something we haven't been able to do in the past.

I live about 29-30 min away from Marietta and 2 hours away from columbus
i went to osu and this is making me super nostalgic awwww
Fun fact: my mom and dad both went to OSU when they were in college and so did all of their family members. We used to live in Columbus before we moved to Texas.

I just have one question, how is it living with the clock tower next to ur dorm? I lived in Busch, but have heard that the dorm u live in and the dorm across from u get the light of the clock tower at night
honestly, its not bad at all. I live on the opposite side of where the towers is at, so my window doesn't even face the tower so I am not affected
What was your GPA? I’m a high school freshman with a 3.4 and I don’t think that’s good enough for OSU

I move in on the 18 th too, and it is my first time on campus because I commuted last semester and I am a little scared about it

You can get things sent there or if you plan on buying stuff you can always buy it when your there.

@@shanyahlux6531 I’m not sure fully how it works in Us as I from Britain but I’m pretty sure you can get it sent to post offices near the campus. You can always buy things at shops in the local area such as ikea, target

I’m a mom watching these type of vlogs to help myself plan for my daughter going to college. (Anyhow) I have to say that the way your parents keep comparing you to your older sister is really annoying. Clearly she’s the “golden child” and does everything right in their eyes, and you’re the “problem child” -only heard two comments (one from each of them) but it’s making me angry for you. Doesn’t matter what things you’ve done that they consider and “issue”- you’re still a different person than your sister, and one of the worst things you can do as a parent is compare siblings. It’s breeds resentment and a lifetime of anger. Even if the comments seem like small things, over time all those little comments add up. That’s how you end up exploding on everyone one day and they have no idea why, or they think you’re “over reacting”. Hopefully you don’t have a lifetime of therapy ahead of you.
