- Its easy to understand why BMW decided to build the 2 Series Gran Coupé. A large majority of the buying public choose aesthetics over dynamics, so a premium-badged four-door good looking coupé built remarkably inexpensively on a front-wheel-drive platform will most likely sell very well. The BMW 2 series Gran Coupe is refined in the cruise, comfortable over long distances and surprisingly economical with fuel, its also really pleasurable driving at sedate speeds, has nicely positioned controls and additionally incorporates BMW’s stunning cabin design and multi functional cockpit controls. Enough said then.....

I appreciate times change, but Its just a shame that BMW seem to have discontinued the 3.0 litre straight six from the older M240i. I think this would have been a great fit for this particular model!

This car is taking a fair bit of knocking . It seems that people are comparing it to bruising higher range Cars . We have to remember m sport starts at 30 grand and with bmw great finance deals it can be purchased a lot cheaper than similarly specked Audi , Vw and Mercedes . . I baged one for that very reason ..

I’ve just ordered the 218i Grand Coupe but in petrol, as I don’t do enough miles to justify getting the diesel. I’m beginning to regret my decision now... I also chose the black leather interior and now I’m thinking I should have maybe gone for the red/orange...
How you feeling about it after 12 months?
@@95acw88 its ok but more difficult to get in and out of due to the ‘a’ pillar being moved forward to accommodate the back doors… I regret not choosing the X2 now, which was my other option…
@@Maldene fair enough mate. An x2 wouldn’t meet my companies policy on co2 emissions etc.
Going to go for it regardless as I don’t think price will deteriorate much on them over 3 years due to it being a new shape, a little like the A3 saloon
@@95acw88 see I’m quite tall 6’3” hence why it’s a little difficult to get in and out, but if you are any shorter than that you should be just fine… it really Is the only thing I can fault it on though…

There are so many errors in this video its unbelievable!!! 0:51 LED Laser lights? Laser lights are not available on the 2 GC, they are LED, it was even written on them for you. Brembo brakes??? they are not fitted either 03:11 The M235i is 306hp. 04:57 the rear vents at wheels you go into great detail about are fake and nonfunctional! I gave up after this!!!!
The condition of U.K. roads will have you shelling out for damaged (low profile) tyres and rims.
All these engines are old tech and will be banned within this decade....BMW are living past tense with this model - big thumbs down !
