In this video I'll go over all of the different LiteSpeed Cache settings you should activate or deactivate if you're managing a WordPress website. Keep in mind, that some web hosting companies use LiteSpeed Enterprise licenses on their servers, making Quic.Cloud CDN offers free credits.
However, as long as you're using a LiteSpeed Cache plugin for WordPress I'll go tab by tab and show you how to activate the best practices and settings to make your website faster, better optimized and in general better!

I make videos about web hosting providers, but this doesn't mean they get to review my footage or influence my opinion before the videos go live. However, if you make a purchase through my links I earn a % of the amount you spend if you don't refund your purchases. What I'm trying to say is yes I make money from this, no I'm not a shill and I work for the viewers, not the companies. All opinions are based on my extensive testing and research. If you want free credits for Quic.Cloud CDN making it function as a PAID version, you need to choose LiteSpeed Enterprise level hosts. Here's a list of what I recommend:
    ✅ Hostinger - emit.reviews/go/hostinger-discount
    ✅ ScalaHosting -emit.reviews/go/scala-cheap
Get 10% OFF by using the links above with the code EMITREVIEWS
    ✅ A2Hosting - emit.reviews/go/a2hosting
    ✅ ChemiCloud - emit.reviews/chemicloud

It seems like I have a perfect speed test now (77 to 99) but the website initially takes longer to load, about 4 seconds compared to 2.

Thanks brother for explaining... Btw I am a student, and I have the most basic shared hosting plan ... Can i enable guest mode??

Hey, I would definitely try. Its highly dependent on your traffic, nothing bad will happen immediately :)

i purchased a domain name from porkbun and changed porkbun's nameservers to interserver's
If i changed interserver's name servers to quic cloud, will i still be able to host and edit my website on interserver without their nameservers?
Also, im using interserver's $7 a month standard shared web hosting plan, can i enable the resource-consuming litespeed cache settings?

      @Emit.Reviews  Před 14 dny

      1. Yes, you would be able to continue using InterServer. All CDN services act like a middle-man, instead of changing your origin or destination locations they position themselves in between. The only thing that changes from the editing side is that all future DNS updates (like adding A records / Cname records, etc) would be done through Quic.Cloud panel instead of InterServer.
      2. It depends on your website (how heavy it is, how much traffic you're getting). Since the variables are too far apart, I can't give you a concrete answer and it would be best to activate them then monitor your website health for a bit. Ask friends or family to visit and ask them if it feels slow or has some errors, etc.

Outlined step-by-step summary of the video tutorial on optimizing WordPress sites using the LiteSpeed Cache plugin:
    1. **General Settings:**
    - Turn on automatic updates for LiteSpeed Cache.
    - Request a domain key and wait for it to auto-fill to enable features like Cloud CDN.
    2. **Guest Mode Optimization:**
    - Activate Guest Mode to serve cached versions to first-time visitors.
    - Enable Guest Optimization for further speed improvements, if resources allow.
    3. **Cache Options:**
    - Enable Cache and disable caching for logged-in users and commenters.
    - Set Time-To-Live (TTL) for cached content; default of one year is recommended.
    4. **Purge and Serve Stale:**
    - Activate Purge All on upgrades to clear outdated cache.
    - Use Serve Stale cautiously, depending on hosting resources.
    5. **Exclude and AEACI Options:**
    - Defaults are generally suitable; turn off AEACI for better performance.
    6. **Object Cache:**
    - Check if your hosting supports Object Cache (e.g., Redis or Memcached).
    - Contact support to install Object Cache if needed.
    7. **Browser Cache:**
    - Enable Browser Cache with a TTL of 31557600 seconds (one year for regular sites).
    8. **Advanced Settings:**
    - Consider enabling Instant Click for improved user experience, but monitor resource usage.
    - Leave other advanced settings as default unless specific customization is required.
    9. **CDN Setup (Quick Cloud):**
    - Choose Quick Cloud CDN setup if not using another CDN.
    - Link your website with Quick Cloud account and complete the setup steps.
    10. **CDN Configuration:**
    - Enable Quick Backend, block browser XML-RPC, and activate Hotlink Protection.
    - Ensure Quick Cloud CDN is activated and CDN Mapping is off.
    11. **Image Optimization:**
    - Optimize images with auto request cron and optimize original images with lossless compression.
    12. **Page Optimization:**
    - Enable CSS minification; disable other options to avoid flash of unstyled content issues.
    - Optimize JavaScript settings and media loading to enhance performance.
    13. **Localization and Final Recommendations:**
    - Turn on localization options to improve script loading.
    - Avoid duplicate caching plugins and ensure LiteSpeed Cache manages all optimizations.
    14. **Conclusion and Hosting Recommendations:**
    - Ensure all settings are configured optimally to maximize website speed.
    - Consider using web hosts like A2 Hosting or Scala Hosting for enhanced LiteSpeed Cache integration.
By following these steps, you can effectively configure LiteSpeed Cache to optimize the speed and performance of your WordPress website.

what is xml-rpc and why should i need to block it?

    • @Emit.Reviews
      @Emit.Reviews  Před 14 dny +1

Its mainly a security issue to leave it unblocked. Its a way to interact with a website in a remote way. This remote access isnt really needed today, and mostly used for "hackers" to mess with ur site
