I thought music in 2008-2010 was pretty good and that it was heading in an 80s retro direction. I really wish more people knew Owl City's music, "Fireflies" is the only one that really crossed over (and that's one of his weaker ones imo), sucks that people don't seem to like indie music that much anymore.
I guess its like a really pop indie lol, but I mean its very light and 80s sounding. I hope something like this can get popular again and not just EDM and boybands like now.

I love Owl City, but my favourite album of all time, drawing with ocean eyes, is Pendulum - Hold Your Colour. Completely different, but that's good.
I for one think that Adam continues to create emotive and beautiful music and I think the new album is a prime example of that. Speed of Love and I'm Coming After You have the same wit and charm as his earlier titles and Dreams and Disasters and Embers have a kind of motivational spirit similar to Rainbow Veins and On the Wing. Silhouette is absolutely wonderful and is probably the most meaningful Owl City song to date. A couple songs might be more mainstream but all have imagination.

This reminded me of how me and my sister would go to the streets and pretend to be in hot air ballons when we were kids.
"Dreams and Disasters" and "Metropolis" are my favorite songs from TMS and the album as a whole was terrific Adam cant make a bad song.
