This is so freaking cool. Been looking to upgrade my wife's 2016 Honda Fit. And though this kit won't work, knowing that there are kits that retain the lane watch and rear view camera makes me happy beyond belief. Please update when more model-specific Car kits are added.
I’ve been wanting to do this as well to my Honda Fit. But wanted to keep lanewatch and reverse and wanted apple CarPlay. Did you end up getting the unit?

does this have audio crossover settings? Im trying to put an aftermarket subwoofer in my EX-T and it is near impossible to find an ideal setup where i can send correct signals to speakers without compromising climate control. this may be my solution. please answer fast! lol thanks!!

Hi!, two questions, this can work in Civic Euro versions? i Have a Type R.. is not same audio for US model. (not have amp for example, only 8 speakers, no cameras in the rear view mirrors). and the second question and most important!: All Car Settings? still works?? is a lot of settings... Rev marchs, configuration for opens door , keyless config, light config...etc, etc,etc!
Is it work in the european civic 10 version and can i also use all assistant-settings?
How do u know which wire plug go to which hole in the head unit? Do u just look at the size of the hole and plug? Sort of confused

I have a 2017 CRV Touring model, did you have a special adapter to get any type of noise to come out to the speakers? It's the only thing I'm missing. I read that I might need a stereo amplifier harness? I almost have the same Honda head unit so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

10:00 CAUTION HERE!!!!!! It is possible running the wire this way will interfere with the side airbag deployment. I know this from installing my own dash cam and made sure I ran the wires up and over the wire loom and airbag.
If you can connect it to your personal hotspot, what’s the point for apple car play if you can have Spotify on head unit android setting also? besides charging your phone, would the quality of music be different?

Because I thinks gonna be come a thing just like it did with touch screens because these Car Companies know they need to add Android auto, Apple Car Play and A digital Cockpit to every car at least offer them in the base with the left screen like they do on the 2018 Honda Accord

In your new models to come will you have the volume knob like the 2019 civics have? Also not sure if I missed it but does the steering wheel functionality still retain?

Hi, I've recently installed a new android unit to my 2016 Honda Civic 1.8S (FC662GE) with 360-camera. Facing 2 problems :
(1) FM radio reception much weaker than before. Did you face same issue? Does my Civic model have built-in antenna amplifier? If yes, will an antenna booster (12V) installed between head unit and car antenna wiring, drawing power from either ignition/cigarette socket help power the antenna amplifier? If no, what are options to fix FM reception?
(2) weak microphone. During phone calls, other party barely can hear my voice. Searched online, common solution is to open up head unit and modify electronics which void warranty. Another is install external mic but possibly won't work due to mic on head unit operating in parallel at same time. Is your external microphone working with clear voice quality?

thank you for this, and im glad you show both cameras including lane watch working properly. does the lane watch camera go on auatomatically still when you signal right? Also does the AM FM radio still work properly with good signal?

Hi, you would have to use the XM app from Playstore. The original XM gets disabled as its built in to original radio.

Why wouldn't it? They use the same infotainment since 2016. Just to be sure I'd measure the size of the old screen (as shown in this video) and compare it with the newer one with the volume knob (some newer civic got one, not sure which ones though) and if they are the same size (again the should be the same, since nothing has changed) it will fit and since the software is the very same it will also work.

You need to change the canbus in the factory settings. But how did u get the back up camera working?
