Oh noooo, I'm so sorry about the model ruining your first video. That was the most tragic story I've ever heard, and I feel partially responsible. 😭 On a separate note, your view is amazing, your hair looks gorgeous, and your knitting is totally motivating. I love that scrappy bag, too. Happy Spring, dollface!
Lauren...thanks for sharing your lovely cross stitch and beauty knitting...best wishes ❤❤
ThNk you for your video. Lots of great stuff! Always enjoyseeing all your projects! Take care and happy stitching!
I love to hear about your whys. Your voice is very calming. I watch you when I’m getting ready for work. 😊 I’m working on Summer Quaker also.
Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. Looking forward meeting you in person at StitchNorth. Happy stitching!
I love hearing all your book talk! Love your stitching, too😊 Yes, I have started the Stone Street Stitchworks Peace & Goodwill.
Another banger of a video! Your stitching is so inspiring always!❤❤
I'm also working on Summer Quaker, and it's fun to see how it looks with different fabric choices & starting points!
Such a bummer you lost a whole episode. Well this one was delightful. Your stitching is gorgeous. I love seeing all of your progress. Good luck with your goals this month!
Really enjoy your videos. Admire your stitching on such small counts. I am an Aida stitcher. Every time I see Deck the coop, I just admire it. Maybe some day i will buy and stitch it. I am working on Teresa Koguts Egg Collector. It is taking me awhile even though I stitch almost every day. Her Serenity piece is so pretty. Enjoy your knitting even though i don't knit. 😊
Beautiful finishes Lauren 😊 I recently purchased Garden Sampler but have yet to kit it up. It’s so beautiful! Thanks for refilming and for sharing your work. I really enjoy your book talks. Daisy Darker is on my TBR, I loved Rock, Paper, Scissors but perhaps this one won’t live up to my expectations 😬
I really like your shawl. So pretty, love the color. Great finishes too. I received the wee santa, the other items were unneccesary. But i appreciate and thank you for the stash enhancement. Thanks for sharing your beautiful projects
Congratulations on all of your lovely finishes!!
Good to see you again and I love your Market picks.
I just love seeing everything that you are working on. Gorgeous stitching. I felt the same way about Cloud Cuckoo Land, but I urge you to stick with it. I loved it. Stan and I are great fans of Bill Bryson. He has read The Body. I also loved Demon Copperhead.
Beautiful video! Congratulations on your finishes and general great progress. I’m going to start ‘324’ on 3/24 and ‘In Praise of Pollinators’ with Laladee Stitches in April.
When hanging stitching in a bathroom, overdyed fabric and thread could run with all the humidity in the room. If framed under glass, the humidity could still get under the glass, exposing your hand dyed fabric and threads to moisture. If stitched with just DMC, excluding red, then it should be safe but may need washing every now and then with the possibility of mold. If it’s only a toilet room, then stitching should be safe.
Totally stealing your idea of stitching roofs on a diagonal. Looks awesome!
I love the Christmas Countdown finish! I am going to Stitch North but attending the 1st weekend, so I won't get to meet you 😟
It is my first cross stitch retreat too! I am currently reading Demon Copperhead, and love Barbara Kingsolver's books.
Still watching WIP Parades! 😂 And, finding lots of stitchers who are new to me! Beautiful stitching, lots of great projects and inspiration, and, plenty of “shout outs”, Stitchy advice and, even, some vintage patterns in the works! Love those! Glad to be on board. Looking forward to checking in. Happy Stitching 🧵🪡 Jacque 🐑
Lauren- I’ll be at Stitch North that weekend as well. Would love to meet up for some stitching in the lobby! It’s going to be so much fun!
Lovely video. I have 2 Nora mermaids in my bathroom and they're fine. My framer did suggest using a form of ventilation (ceiling, vent fan or open window) when the moisture level was high as when you shower, if possible. So far, so good.
Your Garden Sampler is beautiful. Please let us know where you end up finding a frame for it. Was on the fence about buying the chart cards for the 2023 Advent design until I saw your finish. You used called for colors, but it looks more vibrant. I really like it.
Catching up on flosstubes and I thoroughly enjoyed your discussion of haul choices, decision making about projects, and books. You have introduced me to so many fabrics, chart ideas, and other stitchers. Thank you for all your time / sorry about having to redo the video…
I love your stitches. I haven’t finished many sampler stitches but I’ve started a lot. My goal this year is to not buy more charts and just finish WIPs. I moved to NH in January and most of my WIPs are in a storage unit in Massachusetts so that’s a good way to get me to finish projects! I’m in temporary housing at the moment but if I can get over the loneliness up here, I will find my own place. I’ve always had cross-stitch in my bathrooms, usually florals. A long time ago someone said real plants get sad when they are stuck in a bathroom and while it was said in jest, I kinda took it to heart! So now I just put floral art in my bathrooms. Not here yet … this is my daughters’ hand-me-down ski haunt and the walls are filled with their grandparents’ cutesy ski and booze related artwork.
Beautiful projects and congrats on your finish of the Garden alphabet piece (can't recall the name). I always enjoy book talk and hearing what people recommend. I'm trying to be better about reading instead of stitching all the time haha
Your stitches are all so pretty!! So, my Aunts & Mom were stitchers and we always had stitches in our bathrooms - but never under glass. I grew up in Florida, so humidity was always a concern no matter where stitches were hung - but my Aunts lived in Michigan & New Mexico, they never put their stitches under glass.
So fun to stitch and have you keeping me company. I have a stitched piece with glass in my bathroom and there are no issues!! Can’t wait to see the model you are stitching! Your finishes and WIPS are gorgeous 😊
So enjoyed your video, Lauren. Always love to see your beautiful finishes; they were all stunning. Also, loved your Market review. I also ordered Teresa Kogut's "Serenity". I actually think it was one of the prettiest of all the things I saw online. I agree this year's Market offerings were some of the best I've seen in a long time. As for hanging your stitching in the bathroom, I live in a house w/3 bathrooms & they all have stitching in them--some w/glass, some w/out. I've never had a problem & I've had stitching in them for 35 yrs. I just change things out w/the seasons so things don't get boring. Take care!! 😊
So enjoy your videos.Bought the garden alphabet sampler, anxious to start it
I’m also holding off on Demon Copperhead until I have a road trip as it is a lengthy audiobook. I read Tom Lake last month. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t necessarily her best novel. I’ve been waiting for the Garden Sampler finish. I love it. Have fun at Stitch North. I’ll be attending the retreat at Quilter’s Station in April. I’m excited!
Lauren, your stitching is wonderful! I especially love the garden sampler. I am not a gardener, but know 2 of my sisters would love to have that sampler to display in their homes. Can't wait for your finish parade!
I absolutely LOVED The Sentence. I found it so comforting and I loved her take on the pandemic. It was one of those “the book you need right now” books for me. I also read Cloud Cuckoo Land the same year, with the same kind of reaction. Trying not to give spoilers, but it really rips your heart out and then gives immense hope at the same time. I will definitely read it again in the future. Lovely stitching, as always! Thanks for remaking the video for us. 🙂
Hi Lauren, so happy to see you back with a packed video! Thank you for sharing where you plan to put your framed pieces and I think it’s fine to put stitching in a bathroom. We put framed pictures there, and unless you have a very humid, non-ventilated bathroom I don’t see why you can’t put cross stitch. I enjoyed seeing all your plans for future stitching and market purchases, some pretty choices there. The summer Quaker just gets me every time you show it. I did see a finish where the stitcher did half stitch for the ocean water and it looked great, could be an option to save time. I’ve noted some of your book choices, love Bill Bryson, read his travel ones years ago and they were hilarious. Stitch North sounds like a perfect first time retreat, especially when you’ll see your friends. Hugs for your pup!
Such a pleasure to spend time with you, Lauren! Bravo on your lovely finishes!
Hi lauren love your flosstube. Your work is stellar. I’ve had xstitch in the bathroom for 50 yrs (we’ve had many moves and different bathrooms across the country) and xstitch has always hung in the bathroom. All glassed. Go for it!
Yes!! A new floss tube, must be very frustrating for you, the first attempt! So nice to see your Christmas at Hollyberry Farm again 🙂 Serenity is also on my wishlist!
Thank you for your videos. You are one of my favorite flosstubers. I love the things you stitch. Keep up the good work!
I’m glad you have good weather. It’s been snowing here and a lady died on Tuckermans. Thank you for your video. I’m having trouble sleeping and this gave me a reason to smile
Hi! Great to see all your beautiful work. Congratulations! YES- I have a glass covered piece in my bathroom. It makes me smile. 😊
I fell out with Bill Bryson after reading his memoir, Thunderbolt Kid. I threw that book across the room and broke its spine. Mary Roach is another very approachable, funny non-fiction author. I loved Stiff by her.
I just love all that you do! My daughter who is about your age said Cuckoo Land was one of the best books she ever read! And I loved Demon Copperhead!
So frustrating I'm sure but like u said thankfully you caught it before you posted the video. This video was great ... glad to see all your finishes & WIPs as they all looked amazing! Have a great weekend & Happy Stitching!! 😊
Love watching what you are up to! I think bathrooms deserve good art...whatever that is, including stitching ;-)
Hi Lauren, really enjoyed your video, I’ve just purchased the garden sampler pattern and am thrilled about getting the Roxy floss to stitch it! Your stitching is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
I put cross stitch in my bathroom where we don’t shower. I, too, am worried about moisture. Your stitching is beautiful!! Happy stitching!
Enjoyed your cross stitch shares. I also like your knitting project too. I’m not a knitter (I’m a crocheter) but I still love watching knitting project shares too. Hope you will share it with us when you’ve completed it. 🙂 Happy stitching and knitting! 🦉🤗🛎️🕊️
Hi Lauren! Loved watching this FlossTube. Loved all your finishes and your WIPS are beautiful. I got a little carried away with Market releases. I couldn’t decide what I needed the most and spent way too much money. I also ordered Serenity it is absolutely beautiful and Pollinators I have received I want kit this one up so that I can start. Looking forward to your next FlossTube ❤
I love your informative videos and that you have knitting in them also. I’ve always had cross stitch pieces in my bathrooms, using glass and either a vent fan or open window. Have never had any problems. Have a great experience at stitch north!
Great finishes and wips! I felt the exact same way about daisy darker... I really enjoy a.f's other titles and her writing style but for some reason this one just seemed a little ridiculous to me ...i usually enjoy locked door type mysteries but this 1 was just weird! Lolol
Awesome market pics! I also had a super long wish list from the releases but I'm really trying to curb my pattern spending so I only purchased 3.... 🤞so far! Its early yet lolol😂 🪡❤️
Not weird in a bathroom. I have several and steam is not a problem.
Love seeing your stitching. I was not as streamlined at market! Too many great designs!
I enjoy the content in your videos. I'm an avid reader and i also knit. I love having multiple hobbies to work on, depending on my mood. 😊
I have a stitched piece that is framed with glass in our powder room, but steam isn’t an issue there. Love your Summer Quaker!
Lauren! Greetings from Dallas! Another great video! I loved seeing what you got from the Nashville Market. I’m going the second weekend of Stitch North also! I went last year and had a great time and met some great people. I’m looking forward to meeting you in person!
❤🌻🐝🌻 I will be at stitch North A weekend
Good to see you again. Definitely not weird to put stitching in the bathroom! My Summer Quaker is going in mine. 😎
I love your projects and always look forward to a new video. I knit as well (sometimes) and love seeing those projects, too. I hope I can sign up for Stitch North at some point in my future, it would be awesome so I'll look forward to your update on the retreat when you return.
Love seeing what you are working on and what’s in the que…a fellow NH resident
Hi Lauren- Love everything you are working on. I’m looking forward to seeing your parade of unfinished finishes - that will be cool to see. “dropping the dog off at daycare”, my Cooper is so jealous. 😂 Happy Stitching. Oh, have you had any time for jigsaw puzzles?
Beautiful stitching! I really enjoy your videos!
Nothing wrong with framed stitching in a bathroom! Great projects.
Lauren, once again, everything you stitch is beautiful. I might be concerned about putting your stocking in a bathroom because of moisture unless it is a half bath. Would it work in a mudroom or laundry room? Just a thought. If you have a hallway outside of a bathroom or a walk in closet...I no longer have one of those but my previous 1940s house had a walk in closet and small dressing room and I could see it in there. My newer to me, 1887 house does not have a walk-in closet except in my nephews' room, and it would look neat there too.
I actually love the view so I’m glad you don’t close the blinds. I think you used a board before? Love your projects and looking forward to seeing some on the wall.
I love the projects you choose to stitch and, your stitching is beautiful. I have a question. As 40 ct is your go-to, how do you start? I typically use a waste knot but have never stitched on 40 ct. I stick to 32 or 36. I’m going to buy a piece and check it out. Not sure the magnifier can help these old eyes though. Thanks for all the great videos.
Have you read A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson? Highly recommend it, especially the audiobook!
Hello, when you shoot a video, close the window behind you. The embroidery shines.
Not weird to put stitching in a bathroom. I have a framed stitched piece in the bathroom which is a nautical, ocean scene. It is in my guest bathroom, so not much steam.
Could you have pixelated or inserted an image over the model during your video? Maybe something to look into in case something like this happens again. Thank you for sharing a piece of your crafting life.
Enjoy you very much. Wondering if that is a screen shot in your windows looks so still.😅 take care

I do not link to anything in this video, so I am not sure what you are talking about.
Hi Lauren! I really enjoyed your video, but you caused me pain by saying you couldn't get into Piranesi or Cloud Cuckoo Land, LOL. You gotta get back in! I know CCL is a bit fragmented for a while with all the different storylines, but I promise it's worth it. I myself am reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrel fort he first time. xo
I still haven’t read Fragile Threads of Power either 🫣🫣🫣
