I'm so glad G.W. and C.A. are giving representation to such an underrepresented demographics. First we've had lord pepe on his mobility scooter, and now we have lord Astragoth with his Mobility walker. Truly it's only in warhammer fantasy that a toad too important to walk and a demonic dwarf too rock hard to even wiggle his toes can duke it out on a battlefield.
There are I think four different legendary lords in game who either can't or refuse to walk at this point

What i like the most of the Chaos Dwarfs is how they are a mirror to their uncorrupted kins: they have a concept of Honor that needs to be restored if you mess up, the Iron Guards concept similar to the Slayers concept, they stick to their words and aren't treacherous or duplicitous, they respect experience and age, plus they are perfectionists even if not shackled by traditions and, to end it all, their faith in Ashut is no less absolute than their kins faith in the Ancestors gods.

Even their construction and engineering methods are similar. Unlike Skaven, they don't use warpstone, because they deem it too volatile and unpredictable. If a daemonic canon blows up and kills the crew, it's not because it was badly constructed, but becasue the crew were weak and lacked the knowledge to properly use it. And that hardly ever happens - unlike Clan Skryre having their warpstone gadgets kill half again as many skaven as the enemy.
If it's made by a dwarf - Chaos or not - it will work as intended.
I love how derpy his run cycle looks, especially since it distracts from the fact that he's genuinely terrifying! The moment I saw him I knew this was my boy.

An odd quirk about Chorfs is that they seem to prefer living above ground. That's quite unlike regular Dwarfs.

Astragoth loves trains so much, he's made it his life's mission to become a living steam train, but his elders back in the day told him that his wish would only be granted if he can source the iron required from the blood of those shorter than him. him sacrificing the people who made his prosthetics were the first on his path to trainhood.

In the 16th and 17th centuries England faced a growing problem: a shortage of wood. Its population was expanding, which meant more homes to build and more fireplaces, stoves and ovens to cook. It was also when Britain began to reach across the sea on wooden ships (which often got eaten by shipworms) and were armed with cannons. A ship of the line would have more than 60 cannons, each a multi-tonne mass of cast iron shooting spheres of cast iron. Casting all that iron required fuel. Forests were clear cut for firewood and farms, but demand increased. As such, people switched from burning wood to burning Coal, which England has a lot of.
At first, they mined surface deposits. Then they dug deeper. But as they did so, miners would often face the problem of flooding. Mines could be pumped out, but doing so required a lot of time with horse. As such, a natural philosopher named Thomas Savery created a steam powered pump in 1698. Latter, in 1712 Thomas Newcomen invented the Newcomen Atmospheric Engine, which used steam to push up a piston and cooled it down by spritzing some cool water into the piston chamber, which reduced the pressure and caused the piston to go down. The Newcomen Engine was better and became the standard of mine engines in England for the Next Sixty years, even though it was by it’s very nature an inefficient coal hungry machine that was only really good for pumping out mines. Then Scottish inventor James Watt would refine the design between 1765-75. The Watt Steam Engine made use of High Pressure Steam and a reciprocating mechanism to discharge it, converting the thermal energy of the steam into kinetic energy that rotated a wheel. The Watt Steam Engine was useful in a much wider range of applications, notably factories far away from rivers and other forms of moving water.
The system would be further refined the early 19th century by Richard Trevithick, who would among other things for a special application for use in coal mines. An Engine which could be hitched to a railcar and provide from it’s Location along said line the force to provide Motion. Locomotives would be mostly confined to Coal Mines for their first few decades until 1826 with the completion of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway.

You forgot to mention his best piece of lore, how it was he who gave Grimgor his nickname, "Ironhide". For you see during one intense and long Borc Breaking Session, a piece of Astragoth's Ironhand broke off, and thus did Grimgor become known as "Ironhide".

A few things. Astrogoth isn't A high priest of Hashut. He is The high priest of Hashut. There is only one, he is the leader of the conclave.
Also he's alot older than 400. Drazhoath has been the lord of the black fortress for 300 years and is probably over 400 years old. Astrogoth is much older.

I thought the dark elves are british, but now I am convince the chaos drawaves are 100% british, they have trains, they have a parliament and even do they use poor families to work in mines, orks are kinda british with that accent, so yeah they are british and try and convince me otherwise
Most Warhammer fantasy races have something British in them. High Elves are posh, and graduated from Oxbridge. Orks are football hooligans. Regular Dawi are Scottish, etc.

I am about to unlock Boris on my first campaign for Kislev, but the patch with chdwarfs drops tomorrow... Today actually. Any chance it will be save game compatible? (I just managed to convince Ostland they really don't want to occupy Praag entire game around turn 100)
I believe they're usually compatible.
You could just rush unlocking Boris by taking the 3 by force for 10 turns on easy... or unlock him via mod

I needed myself reminder how to play also I was bit busy as Great Orthodoxy to repel norscan raiders, throgg, clan moulder, fecundited etc. I got lucky to get Erengrad at all before confederating all Kislev. I enjoyed my suffering so far slowly cleaning threats of Chaos around Kislev and Empire.
