I hope that you continue to react to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony lyric videos, because you get so much more out of their songs if you know what they're rapping about
Itâs not a song about getting high. Itâs about celebrating the 1st because their parents got welfare and itâs about hustling with what they got from their parents. All the fiends get their check too thatâs why Layzie Bone said today be the day for the dopemane
Its universal, a song about getting welfare and being able to enjoy life when you broke af.
@@calest6251 you hit that right on the head!
@@calest6251 nah, itâs about getting a welfare check and blowing it cause itâs free money dawg
Back in the day it was checks that you get cash for not specific to food it stopped n the late 90s
Also for drug dealers the notes be spending they money
I was 15yrs old when I saw the video for this song on MTV, my first exposure to Bone Thugs, blew my mind the way they flowed over this beat. I was hooked, this song still hits my rotation!
You saw this before Thuggish Ruggish Bone and Foe the love of money?
@@mrhoward19801 ikr, they weren't even on my radar at all until that video!
@@somniumrabidum disregard my comment. I read yours wrong
Interesting you say that becuz one of my friends who grew up in NYC said they didnât really start giving them dudes their credit until this song (which is on their 2nd album and like 3rd or 4th hit)
There's no doubt that Bone thugs and Harmony is one of the most unique groups I guess you would call them in the history of music. They could do things that no one else could. Everything sounded in Harmony and it was hard. It was a perfect match it all was meant to be.
If you like Krayzie Bone, do âMurda Moâ
His flow and versatility is INSANE on that
Me and my sis loooved Krayzie Bone! lol
No bs I bump Murda mo at least once a day đ„đȘđœ
I donât think they ready for those bangers frfr.
The us kids that grew up with this music bone pac biggie wutang etc are a different kinda breed. Mindset everything is 100% different.
You guys need to go through their discography also. They've done songs with all of the greats!!!
That's gonna take them a year lmao, from bottom to top you looking at hundreds of songs.
Facts đ„
Living in NE Ohio in the 90âs when Bone first came out, it was a fun time to be alive. Hell, the whole 90âs was a fun time musically, in all genres (except Garth Brooks).
When I grew up in the projects everyone use to play this every 1st of the month lol hell at big BBQs
It's good to see appreciation from the new generation on the stuff we grew up on... Respect â
Late 90s/early 2000s hip hop is undefeated!!! Impossible to beat.
Late 90s? Nah man, you mean late 80s, all the 90s and early 2000s hip hop/rap is undefeated.
Steph's laugh is mad infectious and Tay gives me a layzie bone vibe, same swagger. Keep at it guys, really enjoyed.
Yeah this was my anthem for 6 months when this came out.Love it.Great reaction âđŒâđŒâ€ I hope you all had a great Christmas
I mean, they have a song called "Budsmokers Only" on the same album đ
Land of tha heartlessđ„đ„đ„
ayyye in the 90s the rap game hit different, hit hard and if you werent there then you dont know.. lol its a shame to see what its devolved into now days.. 90s the golden era of rap
100%
Handle the vibe đ„
Anything from the art of war is dope, double cd of fire.
Ay ay ayyyyyyyyy
In 1995 when you got the EBT food stamp card, back then it was a paper check you would cash like a normal check. So they talkin about getting that and doubling that.
When Lazy said did ur OG check come ?
OG means ur Mom/Grandma
Like my dad make me love 70s and 80s rock i gonna make my kids love 90âs and 00s hiphop especially g funkđ
Montana of 300 - Last Dance
The video just dropped a couple hours ago. Heâs spittin non stop bars and punchlines throughout the whole track!!!đ„
The first is literally this Saturday.
#MISSEDOPPORTUNITYđ
my dad gave up rap for me and my mom and he worked with the bone thugs.
Back in the day welfare came on the 1st and the 15th
Iâm gonna pay my bills , and still fuck with my niggas looked this.
Brings me back to the mid 90âs being a goth skater punk metalhead outcast who was in the local hip hop club every weekend, I grew up on the Midwest chopper style of Bone Thugs,Twista, Tech N9ne and MGK and this song hits deep because I was jumped by people I thought were my friends on December 1st 1998 and had to have my teeth wired because they almost knocked out one of my front teeth, they tackled me from behind because they knew if it was a fair straight up fight I would have broken several of their bones because I studied martial arts since I was young
Damn that's messed up bro! Martial arts is very necessary đ
3:20 Bizzie Bone
back in the day we used to get the welfare check on the 1st of the month, so the hustlers would count on the addicts to come buy shit with their money. "cash their checks and get up"
Next react pls Bone Thugs -Strictly for my grind!!
Seems like they got there inspiration from mr rogers neighbor. You are special. Remember neighbor you have value mo fo
đ„đ„đ„đ„
yes more bone and pac 90s were great
This is learning Black History for young kids now
1st to the 15th was a guarantee come up for the dopeman when those food stamps and SSI hit.
Back in the day wic or food stamps was literally a given check, not a card thatâs used for only food, the first of the month was cash for fair use, untracked. Just saying Iâm 24 but my pops lived in cali where this was real
BONE BONE BONE
I love it when these millennial listen to old school. They haven't a Clue? So young.
Cleveland Ohio BORN AND RAISED
Yeah! Let go with the Bone Thugs! Check out Bone Thugs Battle Zone (itâs a nice rare ish gem)

đ„đ„Can you react to WunTayk Timmy - Underdawg đ„đ„
Welfare check
It's abt them dope heads getting they check's that o ppl
When you from the hood hood. The 1st and 15th is when the welfare checks hit. That's why they celebrate. Suburb peeps won't know none of this
Do a reaction to Spice 1 - welcome to the ghetto
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Everybody's got money on the first of the month...
Welfare checkđ
Zro mo city don freestyle
Imao you have it backwards.
The song is about slangin dope.
The fiends are getting paid, which means it's a big day for the dealers because they get paid off that, which is why they're celebrating with weed and 40s
Also, if you were ever in public assistance as a kid in the 80s and 90s, the first and the fifteenth were the days you might get a lil something extra.
Maybe mom copped some capri suns or real Cap'n Crunch instead of the off brand cereal you usually get.
So again, another reason to be excited.
But this song is mostly about slangin dope and the 1st being a big pay day for that
Nah bone explained it themselves. Its welfare day.
@@calest6251 yes... Because the fiends get paid
Its like you dont even listen to the lyricsđ€Ł
"The first be the day for the dope man, Slanging that cocaine fool, and I'm workin late tonight"
I don't care of you read an article or saw an interview where they said it's about welfare checks.
The lyrics literally tell you that its the day for the dope man
@@lcceo22 bro. Bone them self have talked about this song. It was about getting welfare. Nothing about selling rocks at all. Is the whole song about selling rocks? No it's about getting welfare on the 1st, maybe then they can afford rocks to sell on the first? I doubt it. I've literally heard them saying this was a day for everyone struggling, pay day.
@@calest6251 cool story. The lyrics don't tell that tale
@@lcceo22 so what story do they tell? Its all about serving crack? The song is whatever you want it to be, I know for a fact that's part of it, but it's definitely not what the song is about. 1st of the month...... Welfare day. Not crack day.
Don't you know you technically got til the 5th? That's enough time for me to cause a problem, fix it and pay rent at 3am on the sixth.
This song refers to people collecting their welfare checks at the beginning of the month.
If 1 thousand drug addicts have 1 thousand dollars burning a hole in their pocket in your neighborhood that's a good time to get down.
First of the month is about getting welfare checks and spending it
So this is the welfare carol that Chris Rock was talking about.
The first of the month is welfare đ
BS. Acting like they ain't never heard this wtf
Not something she be proud of.
Please stop. This song is about gettem them 1st of the month welfare checks, when this song came alot of people were on welfare are you listening to the song.
classic welfare song
