    Quadracycle? Only legal in some state (states that allow ATVs to be licensed and driven on the street.) Most states don't allow it and there is no quadracycle designation, so it would have to be licensed as a car... and probably meet some stringent crash tests? Or maybe limited production cars can get around that. There also is no Federal quadracycle classification, so that will limit the sales on this by quite a bit, I'd think.

    • @TheAmericanUhate
      @TheAmericanUhate Před 8 lety

      +Mr. Paladin I know one other company that made not so legal vehicles and they had their customers come participate in building their vehicle so it could be listed as a custom or home built vehicle which made them street legal. You can usually find a way around the regulations in one way or the other.

    • @mr.paladin8721
      @mr.paladin8721 Před 8 lety

      TheAmericanUhate Yes, that would work. In NM it would classified as a homebuilt, I believe. However, that negates any company mass producing something like this. One-off and limited production vehicles are usually very expensive compared to mass-produced vehicles. I don't see there being a very big market for something like this that can't be bought, then licensed.

    • @mr.paladin8721
      @mr.paladin8721 Před 8 lety

      TheAmericanUhate I watched the video again. You'll notice his business is in Ohio but he licensed it in Montana (one of the few states that will license ATVs for the highway). I guess that alone tells you the future outlook for his company. He obviously didn't research the legality of 4-wheel vehicle before he decided to build them. Also he said he ran it down the interstate. That's illegal in every state. Quads (ATVS) are not legal on Federal highways, only state and county roads. Federal law says a motorcycle is 3 wheels or less. Four wheels makes it a car and must meet Federal guidelines. ONly states can bypass that rule and license Quads but they have to stay on local roads.

    • @TheAmericanUhate
      @TheAmericanUhate Před 8 lety

      Mr. Paladin Production vehicles has different guide lines than "home built" vehicles. He could have a customer come put the last few parts on themself and it would qualify as a home built/custom vehicle and be legal. Remember that old 4 wheel motorcycle dodge made with the viper engine? They only sold a few of them, but they was all sold with no drive chain, for the same reasons. There is a custom off road car company in Arizona that has customers come help with putting their car together for the same reasons as well.

    • @mr.paladin8721
      @mr.paladin8721 Před 8 lety

      TheAmericanUhate Actually there is formula and you have to provide a certain percentage of the labor to qualify as homebuilt. Putting a chain on didn't qualify. Chrysler did that for liability reasons only. This guy is not intending to do that (at least he wasn't when he started the project, but he may have to to sell the product). Don't expect these to ever see any kind of production. Yes, he "could have customers come and put..." but there's never been any mention of that.

    This is the most Bad~Ass ride I've ever seen!!! It's a lot of bread though..... But I'm certain it's most definitely worth every penny! But do you have any plans on making it more "affordable" for us "blue~collar" workers? I mean, I work construction, and I know I will never be able to meet the price you're asking. Do you have any future plans for us "working~squids" in mind? In other words...... Can you build a less expensive version for us guys who really want one, but just plane old can't afford it?

    • @loucostabile
      @loucostabile  Před 8 lety +1

      Would love to but since currently there hand built, that is where the time and materials add up. If a Investor dives into the project for manufacturing, then they would be more affordable. Here is another video I think you'll enjoy, Lou czcams.com/video/FlfqS6mVxZc/video.html
