Great video. I’m a welder myself and I do similar jobs every now and then my suggestion would’ve been to not cut right at the weld. Maybe a foot behind it which would allow you to back bevel it I know space is limited but if you can cut 3/4 of the pipe with beveler you can just torch cut the rest which would be way less grinding
I assume they provide yall with some assurance that the pipe is free of any combustible gas, when you are required to make these repairs. Great videos btw
could be a weak spot or a potential restriction point. to check you need the proper people there check fro pressure pull plugs sniff the pipe with monitors and there are a few other things you cpould do.

If there is no other way to check the content of the pipe, you should drill a hole first. I don't know how many times the pipe was "empty" and lo and behold there is stuff coming out. In some cases the stuff was flammable, so I don't recommend using any hot cutting at the start. Of course if there is a valve or flange you can open, that could be easier... maybe not a big flange tho. Oh PS: drop the music please!
If they are going to grind I️t and bevel I️t cutting wheel is a good idea but you better have a bushel basket of them that’s the same way everyone does I️t 😀
