One form of ransomware I've seen is ads on websites that ask to send you notifications, giving a bunch of notifications from your browser, but only actually installing once you click on one of the notifications. To get rid of them, I simply clear my cookies. Super informative video, and as I'm relatively new to experiencing malware threats, it was super informative!

Stellar video! I should also mention FIDO or U2F Two-factor Authentication (2FA) keys. These are much harder to exploit as they don't send codes over the vulnerable SMS (text messaging) service. It is well known by security experts that SMS is vulnerable to interception. Meaning a skilled attacker could get the 2FA code before you do (or send one you didn't request) and gain access to your accounts.

One time i had donwloaded a third party video player on google and after that i was greeted with the FBI thing on my screen asking to pay $500 and i restart the phone and it was there all the time. I couldnt do ANYTHING. So i got on my xbox and watched a video on how to get rid of it and all i had to do was go in safe mode and delete the app and thats it.
Is that was Ransome ware is oooor is that something else ???

Since its on a phone Im not sure but there is a very similar thing that is ransomware so it is most likely some poorly made copy of Virlocker ransomware

There another way to get money from people and it's from the leaks and hack of sites with your passwords, some hackers use the info there (even passwords) to scam the people.
