just finished watching EP1. Have to say the production quality is great. So now I'm sitting here all excited for EP2 just to learn it's locked behind the paywall. It's like sleeping with a girl you meet at the local bar and before finishing you off she asks for an extra payment.
So worth it though. Means they can keep putting sick songs and not conform to the CZcams model
It’s a way for them to actually fund these projects and without it we wouldn’t have the projects, at least episode 1 is free

Súper refreshing to see a rider not tied to a brand. Frankly I think it holds the sport back. Would be amazing to find a way to get them paid outside of a brand, so they could just say what they were thinking and not worry about sponsors

Colin left the opinion about fone kites for a second paid part because he knew that customers of fone would pay anything to see what they say about them, I as one of those can say that about ourselves. Appreciate it very much, right decision lol 💪

I liked the blank kite test series. But not this one with him. I kite for fun, not for money. He is a kid change brand all the time. I need a long lasting affordable kite. Cheers!

@@vikingh3008 Haha, I've heard similar about the family. I really don't think North is going to happen. If it isn't Harlem after all this then they've done very well to throw everybody off the scent as to where they are really going. The reason he left isn't confirmed, I've heard that he left due to the fact him and his family were being too demanding on the production team; the quick release was also an issue that wasn't properly sorted out. They are all just rumours, we'll never know for sure why they left.

Why does Colin not put duotone kites on these tests? Just curious. Nvm didn’t watch til the end. Seems to be coming next episode!
They weren't Blank though. Colin may have broken some rules including: rider to test alongside other blank kites, only. But the I suppose Andrea's kite is sort of blank so I guess that counts?? I don't think Duotone really approve of some other rider testing their kite and giving their honest opinions.
I think it is the brand which decides wether they give a blank kite or not. Maybe duotone couldn't provide one in time ?
@@thomasdusart2278 Yes, the brand chooses unless Colin decides to break some rules. Duotone didn't do one for the Giel, Ruben and Marc one.
Someone made this point on that video:
'my point is to the brand, they are scared to put it out there when they shouldnt. Its a good kite but they dont seem to think so cos they are scared the pros might think is not the best. I would now avoid going to that brand as they think themselves that it might not do great against other kites...'

@@yiimbob7805 Everything he's posted/done recently points to one brand. Someone's even seen them doing a photo shoot near a public livestream on a beach. If you connect the dots, it is sort of obvious. I'll leave it as an IYKYK as I don't know if any of the 'leaks' were intentional. Even though I've not been 'officially' informed and told to keep quiet, I don't think it is my place to tell people.

Also, ReedIn might not have the cash, but they are early in their development, which means they could offer Loren equity in lieu of cash. He's a savvy kid - ownership in an expanding brand may be better than a salary.

wow, watch the best rider in the world ride in normal conditions and there are a bunch of dudes at my local spot that jump and loop just as well. The pros really aren't that impressive, they just get to travel to amazing wind all the time. No wonder manufacturers are dropping riders left and right
Have you watched last year's King of the Air? Lords of Tram? These guys don't need to perform at competition level 24/7. If they did then they risk injury. And I don't think brands are 'dropping' riders. Lorenzo left Duotone because he needed to get out of Andrea's shadow. He then left Cabrihna, admittedly for reasons we don't know but likely due to the QR or the production team not being able to keep up with the family's prototype demands. And Giel left OR of his own accord; they wouldn't just drop him, he helps test and develop their Aluula kites.
