  • The majestic description of Jesus in Revelation leads us to a panorama of renewal and unparalleled glory. Continuing from the final chapter, we see that He is the source of all blessings and the eternal light that illuminates the new Jerusalem. At the center of this glorious city flows the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, emanating from the throne of God and the Lamb.
The city is adorned with the tree of life, which produces twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of this tree are for the healing of the nations. This vision of healing and eternal life starkly contrasts with the destruction and suffering described earlier, highlighting the complete transition from sin to full redemption.
God's servants will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. This is a profound image of pure communion and identification with Jesus, transcending any earthly relationship. The vision of worshippers from all nations, tribes, peoples, and languages gathered around the throne, worshipping the Lamb, is a powerful image of unity and eternal celebration.
As John observes this heavenly tapestry of unparalleled beauty, he hears a voice confirming that these words are faithful and true. Jesus declares: "Behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." This promise of Christ's imminent coming serves as a perpetual reminder of vigilance and hope for all believers.
