Also, maybe one tip for getting the fragments/dust off - just use the blue painters tape that was just used to hold the tag down.

Scan your tag and then get a traced shape so you can make a template. Cut the tag out of a thick piece of tag board or cardstock. Now that you have that, you can just put your tag into the template and cut away over and over.

The explore 2 doesn't have an engraving function 😢 only the maker can do engraving, sadly

I have used Cricut brand acetate and it's great! I've used it for card making projects. I haven't engraved on acetate though. I'll have to look up some project ideas for that!

You could have brought the Square that you used to create the tag and hide it when you are on make it screen. that is what I use to help with placement.
I actually tried that but when I went to hid the square it also hid the wording. Do you have any tips on how to keep the wording there?

Question: couldn't you combine the engraving within a box and make the box white, basic cut and then attach so that it could be lined up better and use the hack of just letting it go through the motions of cutting the box and hole but not putting the fine point blade in the machine? Just curious if that would work?
I actually tried that and for some reason it didn't give me the Anodized aluminum option for my cut setting. it said the material setting was unavailable. 😩so it wasn't letting me have that square set to a basic cut. I also tried the score as well. I was bummed it didn't work!

Could you have not Contoured out the outline on the Sketch Font.
I tried that and for some reason the contour button was greyed out :( I tried switching it to a basic cut to see if it will pop up but it didn't.
Can you show me how to do that with Cricut joy?
I don't believe there is a way to engrave on the Cricut Joy :(
