Hehe, opinions are like assholes, everyone’s got one lol… I am about 7 hrs into it and barely scratched the story surface, just wandering, collecting and upgrading, fought a few minor bosses, done some stuff for goodies and enjoying it so far, sad how the haters try to push their opinions on everyone though, instead of just saying they don’t like it and then go back to playing Fortnite.
I came back to this game after playing just past the first boss and dropping it for new releases like Ragnarok and Jedi Survivor and man, I have been having an absolute blast. Once you have more than one Magic type to use at once the combat opens up so much. I am actually loving just pausing the story and exploring the open world now because I’m just itching to get back into combat and chain new moves together. Figuring out how different spells buff Frey or debuff enemies and which enemy types are resistant to each type has been awesome. This is definitely going to be in a “Games That Were Panned but Were Actually Really Good” list video in a year or so.
You know I totally get the idea of “oh let’s hop on the bashing, bandwagon!” But frankly I’m really liking this game, yea Frey is cheesy and not believable, yea the story so far it pretty weak. It’s an ok game. Has some great gameplay as you said. The magic system is a lot of fun. but everyone probably feels let down by it, due to the hype. It’s clear that story, characters and dialogue matter more for others than it does you, though. It also has a lot of cut scenes and poor pacing which can affect enjoyment of the combat. Some don’t even like the combat. It’s clearly getting murdered in critical reviews. There is no bandwagon. There’s a demo for everyone to play. The majority doesn’t like it. I want to add that I play this on a 1440p monitor has all the nice things you want 120hz vrr etc I run this game at 120hz in the ray trace mode and it really is the difference in this title . Playing it regular 60 in quality or ray tracing does add a tone of foliage but you giving up HDR actually helps in this title . I will only say the file size is semi large so I feel fame has a ton of optimization to come . But I enjoyed the demo and I love this story and I really don’t like female role characters I’m very picky

Here's some they don't tell you. The game runs like shit on Nvidia cards. I have an RTX 4080 with an I7 and 32 gigs of ram and I can't get over 30fps on ultra and 60 on high settings lol lol that game is trash
