I might be able to use that clamped to my coffee table in living room to hold crackers while putting cheese on them

Lol! If your wife is anything like mine that ain’t happening, but would be a hit at your next house party for sure!

I've had that vise for a couple years now, served me well... just needed a small vise that I could move from bench to bench when doing small projects (mostly soldering). I do a lot more buying from HF now that they started carrying upper scale tools; Icon, Quinn, Doyle.... They've stepped up their game!

Someone else mention the Quinn tools. I will have to go check them out. I love that you have this vise. It is a nice little vise for the cash.

I just bought one and I also think this is a great deal. This is not for heavy duty use, but it is very handy and flexible.

It is perfect for this. At some point I will show the vise in my garage. I did not want to drill my bench either. Thank you for checking this out.

Heck yes that is a nice handy little vice , I am going to get one. I have many different tools from there , some good and some not so good. I have a Quinn socket set that is really well made and has a decent price. Thanks Brain , have a great weekend !

    • @ThatFixItGuy

I will have to look it the Quinn socket set. I could use a 1/2 drive wrench for some sockets I got a while back. Hope you have a great weekend as well.

I have a Brad Nailer, Electric Impact and a welder that I have used for a few years and love them. And the were pretty cheap on price.

I bought a bed nailer as well. I feel that some of the products have gotten better over the years. Plus it’s always fun to go shop there.

Have it on my repair table at school. Have it mounted. Great little vise! And another favorite tool is the buffing wheel that I have mounted to their stand to buff valves and the occasional brass instrument, flute or cymbal.

Awesome! I love that you are so involved with repair of band instruments as well. Such I cool area of repair that I would like to see more of. Have you watched in instrument repair videos? I’m sure there are some.

I have a clamp on vise that was made by Pony Jorgensen, It works very well, the only thing I don't like is that it does not have as many features as your vise does but it works well for small projects and has a pipe vise built in. When I do larger projects I use a larger Pony vise.

Would something like this work for the occasional higher torque application, I rarely need to but occasionally I need to torque things down about 60 - 70ft/lbs would that be too much for something like this. I used to have a proper workbench but my new rental made me downsize everything sadly.

@@ThatFixItGuy got the other model they’ve focusing on making now. The sticker was still there for the model you showed. Said clearance on it.
The associate I spoke with said this one is what they’re going to be focusing on making and if they do get the other model it’ll be very rare when they get them in if not at all. Bummer. This new one suctions to the work surface. Limited to a smooth work surface now

Just checked out my local HF for some leftovers. No dice. There's a few on Ebay; price-gouging of course. Do these come with, or are any available, plastic jaw covers so you don't mar your subject? Thanks. EDIT: I just found a decent alternative called a "hobby vice" by Stanley. Seems to have good reviews. Model number 83-069M. Lowest I found was $42 on Amazon
