- "Pixilrace" is an animated pixilated short film made by Dylan and Fabian Musto. It follows a race between Dylan and Fabian all around Wigmore Castle and who would win? This movie uses the most unusual animation technique of "Pixilation", which is real-life, but animated with stop-motion. This short film is also a college project for the Hereford's College of Arts (HCA), and it has taken 3 days to make. Whoa, this is actually incredible! I like the opening title's effects in BluffTitler and I absolutely love the whole concept.
The stop motion feel is really impressive and brings back nostalgia from older stop motion CZcams videos I watched. I also like how the "3, 2, 1, go" segment uses the Mariokart Wii sound because I used to love playing that game. I especially loved the putting on jackets, floating and turnaround segments because not only they also bring back nostalgia to stop motion videos, they also remind me of 8-bit gaming and other cinematic techniques.
The film also looks like it was done for a school project or a film shown at a summer program.
Well done, you really outdid yourself! :D

Thank you Samuel!!!! I'm glad that you loved the short film!! If you are wondering, it's actually a college project for the Hereford's College of Arts (HCA) and that I am excited to show this tomorrow. And I also totally agree with your point, it does infact feel like a video game indeed!! Which is why I am going to use the "pixilation" technique extensively for the movie Pixelation, which is a homage to Tron and Neighbours. If you like to read a post about Pixelation, then you could check out my community page. The music does infact remind me of Mariokart, but it's also Wii Sports too. Out of all of my previous projects in the past, this one is considered to be the most successful short film I'd ever done so far, which I feel proud of!! @@the_Sam20 Yep!! And here's an interesting fun fact about the movie, I actually last did a Tron-inspired movie back in 2013, which was 7 years ago, and here we are now. A new Tron-inspired movie is in the works, but instead of doing PowerPoint, it'll be done with Blender, Photoshop, etc. And also, for the prototype image, it was hard to believe that I actually done the graphics with Roblox, and was then outlined using Photoshop. Looking at it side-by-side, I suddenly turned a Roblox world to a Tron world. WOW!!!! But yeah, I hope you enjoy my upcoming movie projects for this channel!! :)

Thanks!!!! And yes, I am good at filmmaking indeed. And the jumping effect that I have done for this short film is quite incredible. And I totally agree with your point, as doing it in real-life (especially as a recorded video) is very tricky. That's why pixilation comes into place. Pixilation is definitely one of the most unusual, yet interesting technique to work with, as you can do anything that real-life doesn't. And lastly, it was infact me and Fabian seen in the short film, as we are the main characters. But yeah, I am glad that you enjoyed this short film!! :)
