Welcome to our CZcams channel, solely dedicated to words.
Say Your Word is a digital platform by the acclaimed novelist, storyteller and women’s rights activist Elif Shafak.
A platform for words and anyone who cares about them.
Language is the key to understanding and unlocking our world.
It is also the key to the human heart.
Words are often said to have power.
What is not said that often is that they can hurt and even spread hatred and hostility, just like they can heal and bring about love, empathy and wisdom.
They can divide, distance and "dehumanise", just like they can connect and “rehumanise" those who have been dehumanised.
East and West, North and South, regardless of race, sex, gender, colour, religion, ethnicity, nationality or any other category, we are all made of stories.
Stories bring us together, untold stories keep us apart.
    Today's word is COSMOPOLITAN.

I hope there is someone hearing you, hearing us. There is nothing truer than the earth shall be left to no one as Yunus Emre has once said and we have to care about the place which is the home for all of us. I know that for ordinary people like us is hard to understand that mania of power which is killing our future but this the world we live in and all I can hope is that there is anyone hearing us. Thank you a lot!

Your view connects with mine as I knew about Diogenes since I read an article about him in an encyclopedia while I was still in primary school some 60 years ago and his philosophy influenced my way of life since then. I'm from a very Cosmopolitan family as we have Irish, Scottish, French, Mohawk, and Algonquin lineage, I even had a Dutch great-uncle. That made me one of a kind in my country and I often had to fight my way to escape bullying from other kids at school. I wish more people would realize they are first of all humans on earth. Now at 70 years old, I have no social life , no close friends, and living a sad life. I have very little faith in other human beings. The world is not ready yet to forget their differences and share with equity. 🪔

Hello Ms. Elif Shafak I love you a lot If I want to describe, it may be an exaggeration, but the same feeling that you had for the author of the book Nation of Love, Aziz Zahara, with the difference that I wish you a long life and I love my wife and children, and I see a woman more successful with family than feminism. I love you so much Turandokht Gorgizadeh Author of Diplomatic Political Relations, Iran

It's interesting, but it sounds only theoretical. How are you supposed to apply this in the real world? We live in nations, we live in different states, resources are not unlimited, like it or not there's always be an hierarchy and some people who are wealthy and other poorer etc

The Climate is suppose to change -- for Billions of years the planet creates new life when the climate changes, even if it's man made climate change, the earth will figure things out for a new species to thrive on the planet.
