The butterfly sketch I remember well. I introduced my Dad to this show via this episode. I loved the show. My Dad didn’t, as he was a real Yorkshireman. Everything London and South was taboo. He moaned that I tuned in to this show - as is normal in Yorkshire - in the beginning. Then he laughed more than me - and he thereafter loved this show for years. He roared with laughter. God bless him in heaven now. Wonderful memories.

Hissing Sid was the title or subject of a song that was in the charts around the time that episode was made.

Fun fact: The Duke episode was the first time we actually got to see what Marlene looked like. John Sullivan apparently was originally intending for her to never be an on screen character like Captain Mainwaring's wife in Dad's Army. Thank God he chose to create this hilarious comedy couple 💑 😂
