Almost half a year in the making and we're finally taking off! Maverick: Danger Zone is a love letter to aviation from Sam and I. We truly gave this film our all and are so glad to finally get it off the runway and into the air!
*Maverick may have been on the "highway to the danger zone", but he sure taught the cadets well, and made them "sour to new hights", and at least Maverick went out in a "great ball of fire"*
This is pretty much how it feels to be a little kid playing with their toys. Using just a few figures to come up with amazing battles and epic stories. RIP Maverick. Wherever you are now, hope your squadron’s soaring alongside you.
I may not be much of an aviation enthusiast, but I cannot deny that the attention to detail with dogfight callouts and tactics, and the aerial shots were downright awesome. Def outdid yourself in this one, Sam.

The cinematography is breathtaking, I don’t know about Maverick but the drone operator sure had some skills lol. Congratulations to you and your ‘squad’.. a thoroughly enjoyable and highly emotional piece.

The way you do these films are amazing, its not a regular stop motion, love movements are fluid and the camera work is nice, also the touch of special effects work amazingly with your films
I can tell you…I’m feeling the need…the need for speed that is! TFI Creations strikes again with a really awesome idea for a collaborative film and a clear understanding of both properties blended perfectly together! Maverick has a simple arc, but it’s one that’s almost complicating in a way that you could see both sides of the situation that he puts himself in. The other characters really support him through it and it leads to a bittersweet ending. I also have to mention the flight scenes…they were so goddamn impressive! Knowing that you actually used real planes to capture the footage, it’s further proof in showing that you really care about approaching how you make your films and just aviation in general! This is yet another amazing fan film from the masters, so just keep ‘em coming! Because goodness gracious, they’re great balls of fire!
Oh my god. I'm sorry I don't have much to say, but this film is currently my favorite! With it's emotional and beautiful moments, to action packed fights, this just absolutely takes the cake for me!
Me : -casually watching- *sees Maverick transformer figure * aw men I wish they made a SU 57 figure too :(" btw the stop motion Is a work of art btw it's not JUST a simple stop motion its like they are real ppl and I like it when Maverick Said in the end : "great balls of fire" it was a call back to the song great balls of fire in the original top gun movie :D

My only critique would be that the Decepticons didn't get that much Screen Time and talked way to less. But its not that big of a deal just would've loved to see More of them^^. Other than that i loved it till the End and i actually quite like that you killed Mavericks Character, could become a major Plot point for a Potential Sequel if you are gonna do one^^ Looking forward to the Next!!!

I may not be a big fan of aviation and I haven't watched the Top Gun films, I had a lot of fun watching this crossover. I was at the edge of my seat watching those dogfights and training scenes. I may have gotten emotional when Air-Raid and Breakaway realized and became better aerial bots. That was a really beautiful scene where they fully understand brotherhood in the sky. I have two criticism or things I wish we could've seen in the film: 1. I wish the Decepticons felt more like characters instead of targets. 2. I wish we could've seen Maverick's past instead of being told to the audience. I think it would've been more emotional if we got a scene where we saw Mavericks past, the reason why he left being an aerial bot. So we can feel the weight he's carying of his bad past. But all in all I enjoyed the film and to everyone who was involved, you guys did a great job! As always, I can't wait for the next one.
This was a very interesting take on topgun. I really like the story for this with the nice drone shots. The only thing I get annoyed with is a lot of the flying things like how weight = stall which can happen but doesnt really cause engine failure. Some of the ways that radar work, and then just some aerial terms. But that might just because im a pilot. Other than that AWESOME story.
I’m also a pilot, but I only fly little Cessnas. XD I decided not to go full realism with this short as I went for entertainment factor first. Not to mention giant transforming robots may not follow the same engine engineering.
Nicely done TFI. Had my heart in my throat the whole time, just like the real thing. Maybe they'll make an official adaptation of this someday. Subscribed.

To the characters and the story and especially the aerial shots are absolutely immersive and beautiful. And you guys definitely put your love of jets and aerial to the extreme and I love it. Amazing production and very entertaining. Aside from the great story telling, cinematography, and compelling characters it was really fun seeing different eras of Transformers all come together in one cohesive movie. Seeing HFTDs Mindwipe as the Fallen especially as I still own that one as well as the yellow/black jet who's name I completely forget.
This is much worth wait, the aerial shots amazing to watch, two things caught me guard that ending with Mav and hearing Liberation Of Gracemeria for that furball sequence i haven't played AC 6 but I'd recognized that piece of music anywhere, great work really give yourselves a pat on the back 👍
I have to say while I enjoyed Origins Unknown and Gigawatt, this was my favorite film. The voice acting and the creativity that went into this not to mention the writing. I'm re watching this again after a year and I can't get over how awesome this looks! Excellent work you guys!
Makes me really wish that Studios Series could start doing game related Transformers like the Aerial Bots (Silverbolt, Air Raid, and Breakaway) from the DOTM game. Because I would definitely pick all of them up if they did.

One last question : I’m pretty sure you don’t have a direct line to the Pentagon, like Micheal Bay does, but I’m curious how you got the interior shots for the planes?
Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot to me. As for your question, the interior shots were filmed at a warplane museum. We were granted access to a CT-114 Tutor jet.
