      what nicky has done to win? he didn't even remotely attempt to pass cyborg's guard. he was so afraid of his guard that he tried to halfguard pass him at his toes. no pressure, no real attempt, just hoping to run around cyborg quick enough so he can pass him without engaging with him at all. to be fair it's not just against cyborg, nicky either gets the bodylock or he refuses to do jiu-jitsu

      @nyc king You're acting like wrestling isn't a grappling art. You BJJ guys always get so defensive whenever a wrestler fucks you up on his first day.
      Also what's the point of being a black or blue belt guy when you're beating the shit out of the top guys anyways. Jon Jones is blue belt but has multiple sub wins against black belts. Shows you BJJ ain't all that. All you need is basic submission defence to add to a Wrestling/Judo base to be a good grappler.

      @@essamlofty2748 I literally hardly ever see bjj guys complain over the internet about wrestlers, what I do see is wrestlers getting all master race about their stuff being "better 4 tha streetz." Theres different levels of black belts because theres so many different teachers who promote for different reasons. Literally all you meat heads say is the same thing, do some rucking research before peddling these dumb arguments.

    • @G1stGBless
      @G1stGBless Před 4 lety +3

      Essam Lofty wrestlers are always so salty because straight wrestling gets mutilated by BJJ every time.
      Whenever good wrestling meets good BJJ the wrestlers almost always run away because they are so scared of the ground
      🤣🤣🤣
      All the sudden you see reverse wrestling all over the place.
      Best combination is phenomenal Jiu Jitsu and great kickboxing.
      A great example is Maia vs Woodley. Woodley was a dominate wrestler and spent his entire camp working on: you guessed it submission defense (aka BJJ), and above all wrestling and running backwards. He backed away SMARTLY from the ground fight something like 20-25X over 5 rounds. He won the decision because he had better striking than Maia. Which again proved my point: phenomenal Jiu Jitsu and high level striking is the most lethal combo. Maia just has unathletic and poor striking so he was missing one component. Woodley had 2. Wrestling which he only used to not fight, and striking which was better than Maias’.
      Another Perfect example is when former World Heavyweight UFC Champ Fabricio Verdum beat up and then submitted the monster wrestler and cardio machine Cain Velasquez. Cain was afraid to take him down and then couldn’t win the standup war either. After getting soundly out-struck the wrestler Cain fell back on wrestling and got quickly choked out by the Jiu Jitsu master by sticking his head into a guillotine which is what pretty much what every tired (or untrained in Jiu Jitsu) wrestler always does when they are losing the striking battle 🤷🏾‍♂️
      Wrestling by itself REALLY makes you a sitting duck unless you have good Standup fighting to back you up. Or great submission defense (which is not wrestling at all- its BJJ).
